Battle Royal - Winner gets Intercontinental Championship Match

Sheamus wins the Battle Royal featuring Drew McIntyre,  Skip Sheffield, Mason Ryan, Alex Riley, Epico, Primo, Kofi, Santino, R-Truth, JTG, and David Otunga.
Cody Rhodes defeated Sheamus in the first of MANY DQ finishes.

Jack Swagger issues an open challenge since Zack Ryder can not compete. R-Truth accepts and defeats Swagger. Truth is announced as the new U.S Champion. Otunga comes out and announces the match was not a championship match.

In botch-fest 2012, Kelly Kelly and Eve Torres defeated Natalya and Beth Phoenix. Brie Bella was the referee.

Wade Barrett versus Ted DiBiase never takes place. Orton attacks Barrett. Good brawl. Several wrestlers hit the ring to break it up. Orton RKO's most of them to clean house.

Intermission

Big Show defeated Daniel Bryan by DQ when Otunga and McIntyre interfered.

John Cena defeated Kane by DQ when Kane used a chair.

CM Punk pinned The Miz.

As you can see, this was a stacked house show. The Pan Am Center is a 13K basketball arena. About 500 seats were added to the floor. Everything was sold from the concourse down. The area above the concourse was about 1/4 to 1/3 full. Solid crowd.

The "good soldier" award goes to Ted DiBiase. Local radio had been advertising Barrett vs Orton. The loudest groan ever was given when it was announced it would be Barrett vs DiBiase. There was literally no reaction at all when Justin Roberts announced DiBiase.

I am not a hater. I realize the roles the Divas are expected to portray. I understand they are not expected to be Trish or Lita. Still, Eve and Kelly Kelly were horrible tonight. Horrible - but gorgeous.

No Mic work from Cena or CM Punk.

The new Live Show Stage was a big hit with the crowd.

I am always sending in reports that I end with a plea for WWE to bring the cameras to El Paso, Texas and/or Las Cruces, NM. After reading the live event report from Fargo last night, let's just say I am thankful to WWE for the show they brought us tonight.
