BEEFCAKE'S TNA COMMENTS, WWE TITLE CONTINUITY, EVAN BOURNE'S WWE SUSPENSION AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2012-01-21 10:00:00
My question involves two titles that WWE recently unified: The WWE Tag Team Championship (merged with the World Tag Team Championship) and the Divas Championship (merged with the Women's Championship). Why was the decision made to continue the lineage of the newer titles versus the originals which traced back to 1971 (tag) and 1956 (women's including Moolah's fantastic reign)?

It was a decision made to strengthen the idea of today's belts without tying them so much to the past.

What do you think of Beefcake’s comments that TNA does not want to win and Hulk realized that? Is that why Hulk has not been around or has he just been off TV?

Hogan hasn't been on TV because he was having dental surgery and honestly, he had been overexposed. As far as my feelings, Beefcake once told me in an interview he taught the British Bulldogs ring psychology and didn't save Roddy Piper at Wrestlemania III, so I take his stuff with a huge grain of salt.

Regarding the Tag Titles changing at the house show, if Air Boom lost the titles on Sunday, that most likely means that Evan was caught either Saturday or that Sunday. But then they let him compete on Raw anyway, so why didn't they have Air Boom lose the titles on Raw and run an injury angle? It would at least allow Kofi a rematch with a new partner and continue what could be an interesting feud. I remember them doing something similar with Rey Mysterio, his partner RVD went down to injury and he was allowed to pick a new partner in Eddie Guerrero. I don't get why they couldn't do the same with Kofi.

There are lot of people who won't be shocked if Bourne doesn't return, so that may be why.

What are the current plans involving WWE Divas star Natalya Neidhart? Lately she has lost matches to both Alicia Fox and Tamina. Two women who has far less experience as a wrestler than she does. I realize that a wrestler, male or female, must do the job that they are told to do. It just doesn't seem right.

The plans are exactly what you see.

Strange question: Do any wrestler, male or female, ever shave under their arms before they wrestle?

Most do.
