I read your question regarding the Chris Benoit movie and had to agree with you. It's the sort of exploitative, manipulative material that appeals solely to sort of people who hold Nancy Grace from CNN as the standard of unbiased reporting. Bugt on the topic of wrestling movies, why not an Eddie Guerrero movie? Here's a talented man from a distinguished wrestling family who, through his career, provides opportunities to show how the sport is treated in different countries. His personal battles and return to greatness, would be captivating and inspirational if done right. If you think this is exploitative, maybe it is, but I've enjoyed Guererro's work so much, that maybe this may be the best way to show this amazing and badly missed talent to the world outside of professional wrestling.

I would love to see a feature film done on Eddie but unfortunately it is a story where the lead character righted his life before passing prematurely.  That is not as attractive to people as doing a story about a guy who murdered his family.  It's sad for sure.

Please tell me the WWE is going to bring back Fuji Vice for the WWE network?

I fully expect the old footage will be shown but I think trying to redo and almost thirty year old skit today is probably not a great idea.

In his 2007 Hall of Fame induction speech Dusty Rhodes said that talent looking to improve their skills should watch tapes of Ricky Steamboat. Have you heard any stories of today’s younger talent actually doing this? It seems that the WWE’s extensive film library would be an invaluable learning tool.

They do and they actually get to learn from him but at the end of the day it's Vince McMahon who decides what kinds of stories the wrestlers get to tell in the ring.  Take Daniel Bryan for example.  He can wrestle rings around pretty much everyone but if WWE doesn't let him do it, it doesn't matter.

I'm a long time follower of your site and on again off again elite member when I have the funds. I have a question for your Q&A. Have you ever noticed any correlation between ratings and buy rates for WWE and membership to your site. Obviously the more people watching means more people interested in pro wrestling but what about when ratings go down Or a story line tanks. Do you see a negative impact on your site?

Yes indeed we have.  When the product is more popular we do more business.  The two are absolutely connected.

In regards to CM Punk walking Chael Sonnen to the octagon on Fox in a few weeks, I read on a few websites that this is happening because they are good friends. Where would they find the time to be friends with Punk on the road and Sonnen in the gym training for his fights? I'm thinking Sonnen called Punk and asked him knowing he would get a lot of attention from MMA fans and media and it would raise a stink for him to walk with a pro wrestler to the octagon. This is more a mutual beneficial promotion for both rather then these guys are friends.

As you get older you find that you can be good friends with someone without spending the time that you did when you are younger.  If they say they are friends that is good enough for me.  And it doesn't matter now because Vince McMahon has vetoed it.
