This Saturday's EVOLVE event that will close out the former ECW Arena is already the largest pre-sale in the history of the company, which means they are looking at at least 500 fans. Gabe Sapolsky is looking at the event as a chance to expose his product to new potential fans that are coming to say goodbye to the building. Tickets for the show are still on sale at www.dgusa.tv priced at $20 and up in advance although ringside and VIP balcony are close to gone. Tickets will be $25 at the door.
Sapolsky wrote a blog on the www.heymanhustle.com website looking at the venue's last show. Sapolsky also wrote a long blog at this link, noting this weekend marks the 10 year anniversary of his working as a booker in the business.
No additional names from the past who are booked for the farewell segment are going to be announced ahead of time. New Jack and Joey Styles will be the only names announced.
Two Spot Monkeys featured an interview with Sapolsky discussing the event this weekend as well.
For those of you who are Elite subscribers, we had Johnny Gargano, Bobby Fish and Sami Callihan all on this week talking EVOLVE, DGUSA and the final Arena show, among lots of other topics. This was a GREAT week to sign up for a sub as we'll end up having 8-9 interviews total plus all our usual zaniness and news.

This Saturday will be the latest WrestlingBusTrips event, leaving Queens and Manhattan, NYC to what appears to be the final events ever at the former ECW Arena on Saturday 1/14/11. The NYC fans have always made the infamous venue even more electric, so this is your chance to so one more time.
The cost of the trip will be just $120, which will include tickets to both the EVOLVE and Combat Zone Wrestling events, a special exclusive event to be announced, and round trip transportation on a luxury coach bus complete with TV monitors playing some of the most classic moments in the history of the building. We will also have some special guests popping up on the bus in Philadelphia as well as one other surprise we hope to announce shortly.
We will be picking up at:
10:45 AM in Elmhurst, NY at the White Castle on Queens Boulevard.
11:15 in NYC at the Hammerstein Ballroom in Manhattan (311 West 34th Street)
