Ultimo Guerrero was asked last week about the current "crisis" in lucha libre with popularity going down among all the major promotions and he said that the rise of WWE has changed the game a little and speaking for EMLL they have had some departures this year but their goal is to create new stars who can bring the casual fans back in and fill the buildings up again like they used to be. UG said that everything goes in cycles and they are just going through a downward one now but it won't be long before they will be back on the upswing again.

La Sombra was also asked about the status of lucha libre and said that issues like the economy and the unstableness of the wrestlers and the wrestling in general has driven some fans away as they can't trust guys showing up on cards anymore due to injuries and just not showing up in general. Sombra said that he plans on being one of the leaders of the new generation movement of bringing the fans back in 2012.

1. Hombre Bala Jr./Sensei/Super Halcon Jr. beat Inquisidor/Los Rayos Tapatios I y II by DQ when Los Rayos ripped off Bala & Halcon's masks. These four have a masks match next week.
2. Dalis la Caribena/Goya Kong/Lady Apache defeated Amapola/Princesa Blanca/La Seductora
3. Negro Casas/Polvora/Volador Jr. (who wore his father's aka Super Parka's mask during his entrance) beat Dragon Lee/La Mascara/Valiente who injured himself on a dive to the floor and had to be stretchered out.
4. Torneo Cibernetico por el CMLL Heavyweight Title: Rush & Damian el Terrible were the last two men in and they will meet on January 1st to determine the champion. Order of Elimination: Olimpico/Hijo del Fantasma/Mr. Aguila/Metro/Brazo de Plata/Rey Bucanero/Mr. Niebla/Marco Corleone

2. Alan Extreme/Apolo Estrada Jr./Avisman defeated Centurion/Multifacetico/Saruman with Apolo using the ropes as he pinned Multifacetico. They are headed to a hair match.
3. IWRG Intercontinental Lightweight Title: Carta Brava Jr. beat Dinamic Black to retain his title in what was called a damn good match.
4. WWS Welterweight Title vs. IWRG Intercontinental Welterweight Title: Eterno defeated Golden Magic to become doble campeon in another damn good match.
5. Canis Lupis/Head Hunter I/Hernandez (surprise sub for Negro Navarro) beat Hijo del Texano/Pantera/Tony Rivera (subbing for Toscano who no-showed again) and Lupis wants a shot at Pantera's Rey del Ring title.
6. Relevos Increibles Suicidas: 911 & Trauma II defeated AK-47 & Trauma I in a match where the natural partners still worked together but it cost AK-47 as he was hit by mistake by 911 causing him to lose.
7. Mascara contra Mascara: Trauma I beat AK-47 by DQ in a wild bloody match that saw AK-47 use the Martinete behind the ref's back and he made the count which almost caused a riot but the referee realized what had happened and then reversed the decison by DQing AK-47 which made the crowd happier. AK-47 unmasked as Mario Pardo Villagómez from Casas Grandes, Chihuahua being 26 years old with 7 years experience. Trauma I was stretchered out but still dedicated the match to his family and fans as he left.
