I was watching a match with the great "Dr. Death" Steve Williams and got to thinking about Jack Swagger's current role in the WWE. Swagger is certainly got the skills to be a technically proficient brawler in the vein of Williams, Stan Hansen and Vader and it might be a kickstart for him. He could use the boost and he's being wasted right now in his current role. Aren't Williams and Swagger both from Oklahoma?
Yes, they both went to Oklahoma. WWE doesn't really employ brawling much anymore (I wish they did) but I would love to see them make more guys that are tough and kick butt. Unfortunately, Williams couldn't be a part of any Swagger push as he passed away almost two years ago.
Will TNA sign Ricky Beast Ortiz after a couple years of Indy shows and mentoring by Scott Hall and Brother Ray at 3-D Academy or does WWE bring him back as a heel?
He would be happy with either! The fact that he has been out there as a free agent for a while now and neither thing has happened isn't a great sign. It doesn't mean it won't happen, but obviously he is available. It's best that he works hard and improves while he waits for a chance.
Any news on when Christian will be cleared to compete? I know high ankle sprains can be very severe and can take a long time to heal, but since they haven't announced he will be out for an extended period of time should we just assume they're going to hold him out until the rumble build?
He is listed on WWE events for February so he will be back by then.
Is WWE turning The Big Show heel since he lost the The World Title to Daniel Bryan at TLC?
With Mark Henry hurt and needing time off, they used the situation to get the MITB stipulation off of Bryan. Now, that could factor in to Show turning heel down the road, especially if the WrestleMania match with Shaquille O'Neal takes place, but at this point it was done more out of necessity than anything else.
What happened to Brodus Clay? I kept seeing spot for his return and it just stopped.
That became a running joke in WWE as they kept saying he would return every week and he never did. There are some sources in the company that say that because Clay tweeted that he was going to take out John Morrison on his last night with the company, he has been punished due to letting a spoiler out. If that is the case, the company is really putting focus in the wrong areas. If that not is the case, well then they just lied to their audience for a month which is probably worse. As I type this on Monday morning my best guess is that they will wait until the new year to debut him since this week is a dead one in the WWE creative process.
