What is the real story behind The ECW locker room mole?....Was it really Tod Gordon?

The story behind the ECW mole was just that, a story.  If there ever was a mole it would have been the late Nancy Benoit, who was married to WCW booker Kevin Sullivan at the time.  She worked for ECW and a lot of people felt that she told her husband about a lot of the great talents that were working for the company and he brought them in.  As a lot of those workers ended up in WCW, it wasn't a stretch to think that was the case but the guys ECW were using weren't signed to contracts so it was fair game.  As for ECW founder Tod Gordon, he was in the process of getting out of the business due to the strains of being on the road so much while still running his jewelry business six days a week.  He talked with WCW management about doing an invasion angle with some ECW talents and if they offered him enough, he may have done it.  That was the extent of it.  Paul Heyman then used the story as a rallying cry for the locker room and Gordon never went out of his way to correct him.  A lot of workers were surprised to find out later that it was never true.  So the mole story was just that, a story.

Do you think the WWE network will make its move to the UK? Even maybe sort a deal out before the US launch.

I think they want to get on the UK and will make every effort to do for sure.  I don't see it happening before it does in the US however.

I see that the WWE is now marketing "Cena Sucks" shirts. I'm guessing the next step will be a "Let's Go Cena" shirt. Do you think they'll consider doing a reversible shirt for the Cena tweeners out there?

If there were any Cena tweeners I could see them considering it but since they aren't I don't see it happening.

OK, this is serious. I know, I am totally alone on this one and I have told you in the past, Lilian Garcia is the worst ring announcer you can get. It doesn't matter if she can sing or looks great, I was very happy without her, so much she has botched. In fact, it was a relief without her. Now, she's back and the horror immediately starts again. At TLC, she said, you have to put your opponent through THE table and forgot, that Big Show is the new World Heavyweight Champion. She's insecure, has totally wrong emphasis and no feeling. For me, after Howard Finkel, Tony Chimel is the best ring announcer but I guess, he's not young and good looking enough. Justin Roberts hasn't made one mistake I can remember in years and Lilian can't go through one show without botching something. Out with her!

And your question is?  For the record, I don't thinks he is insecure at all.  You don't go out in front of thousands of people if you are insecure.  Does she make mistakes, sure, but I still like her energy.  I am glad she is back.

You guys have mentioned before that a WWE talent can work immediately for TNA if their contract expires, but if they’re released then the 90-day clause kicks in. What if WWE were to decide to release them, say, a week before their contract is set to expire? Is the full 90 day clause still in effect, or would the talent only have to wait out that next week before appearing for TNA? And if the 90 day clause does kick in, have you ever heard of WWE releasing a wrestler right before their contract ends to keep them off TV (and, presumably, to be total douches)?

WWE can only use the 90 day clause if more than 90 days are left on the contract.  If there is only a week left, that is all that the talent has to wait before working for TNA.
