So Jim Ross continuously gets embarrassed, fired and all together mistreated by WWE on-air. Why does he keep coming back for more?

He loves the business, it's that simple.  There is no other reason he would put himself through this stuff over and over again (and I am typing this on Saturday before I even know what they did on Raw).  He is a better man than I am.  All of the stuff that they did to him, especially Dr. Heiney, would have led me to pull a Mike Johnson and punch someone there in the face.

With the way the WWE allows guys like Lawler and Cole to slag JR and Vickie respectively on appearance, has the company ever been questioned or confronted by their Be A STAR campaign partners on these segments? I realize heels are heels for a reason, and that this is all just a show, but there are other ways to slag people outside physical appearance, aren't there? Especially considering WWE's younger audience...

Those guys are just doing what Vince McMahon wants to do so you can't blame them.  But I totally agree with you.  It's totally hypocritical to be anti-bullying in one breath and then bullying people in the other (even if it is a work).

This is a rhetorical question, no doubt, and one that's been asked over and over, but hopefully not in the way I am wording this. Now that Punk is one of their top 5 babyfaces (Orton, Cena, Sheamus, and H being the other four) and gone away from his 'revolutionary' persona, isn't he essentially becoming what he hated?...Does this mean that HE is now the one that's lost SIGHT!? Logic isn't one of WWE's strongest points ever, but how can creative reconcile this with the persona that got him over in the first place? Now that he got his cash and his title shots, he doesn't care anymore?

Yes, he has become what "he" hated.  No, he has not lost sight.  The dimwits that book his character have lost sight.  Lots of it.

Some of the bigger named wrestlers have buses. Are these provided for them by the WWE, or do these buses come out of their own pocket?

In some cases, the wrestler gets the bus negotiated into their deal.  In others, they make enough money that they take care of it themselves.  It's a lot easier to travel in a bus than via rental car.  If I was in a position to do the bus, I would.

How do wrestlers get prepared for their matches with such short notices? i.e. the Monday after a PPV, or house show dates? Or especially for independent wrestlers who sometimes go from promotion to promotion. Are they allotted time before events to meet with their wrestling partner(s) and formulate a general plan, calling spots and what not? Or--for anything other than TV shows and PPVs--do they just 'wing it' with only the finish/winner being settled before hand?

They are pros, first and foremost. In the case of the big companies, the producers tell them what they want from matches.  On the indies, the guys generally meet before the show and lay out what they are going to do.
