WRESTLEMANIA IN INDY, ZIGGLER'S PAST LIFE AS A CHEERLEADER, WATCHING ROH TV ONLINE AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2011-10-13 10:00:00
I was just wondering if you guys think they will ever bring Wrestlemania to Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. I know it was in Chicago a few years ago and i was wondering if you guys could see them bringing it to Indy.

Indianapolis has been discussed as a potential location in recent years. I can see it happening.

I enjoy the site. I have been hearing that ROH would put their shows online. When I go to the site it states that I have to be a "ringside member to view the show". For a company that has limited tv markets (aka I don't get the shows) I think it's a bad idea for the small company to charge for the shows. (TNA has spike put their shows on free, plus they only charge $3.95 a month for TNA on demand) They could be getting a large new audience but I doubt people are going to pay the money for a new product most have not scene outside of their DVDs. thoughts?

There is a free "Ringside account" that you can sign up for on the ROH website. That allows you to view the show on Thursdays. There is also a paid version that gives you discounts and pre-sale codes and allows you to watch the show on Mondays, including access to the company's VOD service.

Hey guys thanx for all the work you put in the site! My question is about Kurt Angle going to ECW in about 96-97 I believe. Was the deal as close to happening before the Sandman crucifixion as the former ECW guys made it seem? What was the original plan Heyman had in place?

Angle was at the show because he had interest in getting into the business and would have trained with ECW and wrestled there, but there was no contract signed. Once the Sandman angle went down, he wanted nothing to do with ECW again.

OK. We have Hulk Hogan, saying he can't/won't wrestle; Sting, saying that Hulk can/must wrestle; and the payoff is Dixie Carter regaining control of the company (or not). And this is the main event of TNA's biggest event of the year. My question is-why should I care about any of this? I mean, I've pretty much sworn off buying most PPVs anyway unless something really grabs my attention. Angle vs. Roode should be getting all the attention, and while they have done a great job building Roode I just smell a giant screwjob all around coming up. Angle will win (with help he doesn't need), Sting will win (after Dixie distracts Hogan) and we'll have more Hogan and Bischoff yelling and stamping their feet for the foreseeable future on upcoming TNA shows. Doesn't really sound like progress to me. As always, love the site, read you every day for years, etc. etc.

I can't tell you why you should care. That's something you have to decide for yourself, but the actual card could provide some good action and it would appear Robert Roode is about to get elevated to the top of the company.

Was Dolph Ziggler a member of the Spirit Squad? I was watching a youtube clip and one of the members looks like him.

Yes, he was Nicky and also worked as Kerwin White's caddy Nick Nemeth.
