WHY HULK HOGAN NEVER MENTIONS TNA IN OUTSIDE INTERVIEWS, NUNZIO'S POST-WWE FUTURE, JT SMITH AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2011-10-06 10:00:00
Why does Hulk Hogan never mention TNA in his many media appearances? And why would the owners of TNA put up with this nonsense? I would presume his mainstream appeal is the reason they hired him.

Sources indicate that TNA's deal with Hogan allows him to maintain his outside interests, so when he is promoting those, he's not on TNA business. I have heard that the company could have signed him to a deal where everything that Hogan did would be controlled and tied to TNA, but opted not to do so. I think it undercuts the company but unless they signed him to a deal that tied all of his projects in with TNA, you can't blame Hogan for putting his own deals together and promoting them.

I managed to see that TV show (on National Geographic Channel I think) about independent wrestling and was curious on the status of Danny Inferno. He seemed to impress the ROH guys and I was wondering if he managed to get signed at all. Read your website every day – Thanks.

Danny was not signed by ROH. He's still working independents.

Does Big Show still have permission for the chop? If I remember correctly, for a while he was doing the "shhhhh" then would chop the opponent in the corner, or wasn't that considered a chop?

He does. WWE has backed off on the chop ban since the departures of Shawn Michaels and Ric Flair.

Whatever happened to JT Smith?

Smith is retired and lives in the Virginia area.

Since WWE released Little Guido, will he be going to TNA or ROH?

Personally, I think they should be climbing over each other to sign him. I've long felt Guido is one of the best utility players in the business - he can do comedy, tags, Cruiserweight style, anything that is required of him. To me, he's the type of veteran you want to sign.
