FOLEY FOLLOWING NASH TO WWE?, KIM QUITTING A WORK? AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2011-08-25 10:00:00
Obviously CM Punk has re-signed in some way. Do you know if its a new long term contract or was it just an extension?

I would believe it's at least a two year deal, but I don't have anything to back up my presumption. I know at one point, WWE sources indicated they were trying to lock him in for five years.

I read where WWE is finally looking to build back up the tag team division. In doing so, do you think it would be wise for them to reach out to 1 older solidified team to anchor the division and give the up and comers a team to "knock off" so to speak? Someone like the Dudleys or Harlem Heat? Or even reuniting MIz/Morrison? Thoughts?

It's an interesting idea but until someone is available contractually, I don't see it happening. Miz going back into a tag team situation would be a massive

After seeing Kevin Nash return and apparently in good shape, I was thinking about where WWE goes from there, assuming Nash is taken care of by CM Punk. If they are going with people from HHH's past, how about Mick Foley? Foley has said he would like one more high profile match, so assuming he can get into decent shape, what do you think of (without any career recaps on Foley) Cactus Jack making a sudden appearance at one of the upcoming PPVs (I'm thinking Royal Rumble) and making a savage attack on Punk? This could set up a one (or 2) and done before Wrestlemania, Foley gets his big final match and Punk fights off another man with a connection to HHH. Since the younger audience didn't respond as much as WWE thought they would with Nash, Cactus Jack could be a huge surprise and they can always do a recap of his career later. I really enjoy your site. Wrestling has always been an enjoyable outlet for me and it's fun to think of different scenarios. Thanks and keep up the great work.

It's an interesting idea. My gut feeling is that when Mick Foley finally has his final match, it will be for WWE. I don't think we'll see Cactus Jack return, however.

Any truth to rumors of Wrestlemania coming to St. Louis?

I've heard a few different potential cities but St. Louis isn't one that I've heard of yet. It's possible.

Any chance the Gail Kim situation is a work.

No.
