KHARMA'S PREGNANCY, SID'S ANKLE, WWE HAVING NUDITY IN THEIR FILMS AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2011-08-12 10:00:00
I know I've said this before, but you guys are awesome and I visit your site daily and I listen you all of your audio, keep up the awesome work. My question is about the Match between Sid & Scott Steiner in WCW when Sid broke his ankle, a lot of wrestling pundits say that he didn't really break it. Did he really?, or was it a work?

It was as real as can be, Anyone who says Vicious didn't break his ankle is a moron. The tape tells the story, as did his long recovery. It pretty much ended his career as a full time performer.

Awesome / Amazing Kong or Kharma as she has been repackaged looked absolutely great during her first few weeks until she disappeared and showed some humanity declaring that she was ‘regnant’. I guess this is true and not an angle, but are WWE mad at her for being pregnant at the start of her run? Is she really actually pregnant and who is the father? Do we know him?

The pregnancy was legitimate. I don't know that the father was ever publicly acknowledged, so no idea who he is. I've never heard the company was mad at her for getting pregnant, although you have to assume they weren't thrilled with having all of their plans thrown out the window.

OK, so I just read the recap of the most recent shareholders’ conference call, and I specifically noticed Vince’s remarks about his disappointment with “That’s What I Am” and how they would be tweaking genres in the future for WWE Films. So here’s my question, and this is in all seriousness… if they put out a movie, whether it’s an action film or a horror film or thriller or whatever, and they cast one of the more well-known Divas in it, and they did a nude scene, what kind of business do you think it could do? I’ve gotta believe that if word got out virally that, say, Kelly Kelly was naked in a movie, they could spike a big number in the opening weekend, and ultimately gross more than See No Evil. Your thoughts? Do you think WWE would consider it, given their slightly more risqué direction recently? And, of course… who would you cast?

I think at some point, we might see it, but not anytime soon. The company has far too much invested in the kid's market right now and their relationships with licensees like Mattel. That said, as things evolve, I would expect they attempt racier material in their movies. As far as who to cast in the scene, I wouldn't be picky!

Is Mick Foley done as a writer?

I don't think we've seen the last of Foley as a writer, although the lack of success for his fourth memoir probably will lead to him taking a break for awhile.

Whatever happened to WCW star Blitzkrieg?

He's retired and living in California.
