WHERE TO GO WITH CM PUNK AND JOHN CENA, CHANGING WWE CREATIVE, WWE-GLAAD RELATIONSHIP, CHAVO IN TNA AND MORE

How about WWE gets the current writers for their TV to write the screenplays for their movies and leave the TV writing to guys like Arn Anderson, Ricky Steamboat and others.  You know, guys that have wrestled for years and have a pretty good concept of what works and what won't. Your thoughts?

Here's the problem, you are missing the big picture.  Even assuming that those guys would be good bookers it doesn't change the fact that the head of creative is Vince McMahon and the product that we see on TV is his vision of wrestling.  For example, I may be a great chef but if I go to work at McDonalds, I will make the food that the company wants made.  The same holds true for the WWE product.

Was there any truth to the rumor of Vince buying the Boston Red Sox or was that totally made up? Does Vince have the money to buy a big time pro team?

No there wasn't.  Vince is pretty rich, obviously, but a lot of his wealth is tied up in WWE stock.  Forbes valued The Red Sox at $912 million this year so I don't know if Vince has enough capital to pull off buying an asset like that.

First there was the Billy and Chuck fiasco. Then the WWE tells GLAAD that CM Punk's contract will not be immediately renewed and that "this departure is not part of a storyline. He is contractually leaving the organization" after his last incident. Who's more gullible Sting who was betrayed every week in WCW or GLAAD? Seriously, why would GLAAD ever believe anything the WWE tells them?

Punk was leaving at the time of the incident so they didn't lie.  I get what you are saying but Punk did sincerely apologize and if I am GLAAD, that counts for a lot to me.  It brings awareness to insensitivity.  As for your other question, no one was more gullible than WCW Sting.  He was an all day sucker.

What do you think of Chavo Guerrero going to TNA? Mexican America could use a solid voice and the veteran presence he would provide. He could also be a strong X division player as the rebuild.

I think if he went, he would want to avoid being an X Division guy.  That isn't exactly a road to success down there.  Sure, he would fit in with Mexican America and could take over the leader spot.  Anarquia reminds me a lot of Chavo when he does promos anyway.  Chavo would obviously be an upgrade for the group as far as work rate goes.

Proud Elite Member of the site… Well the WWE has done a couple things for me, they have me watching somewhat and they got me curious about a couple things. If CM Punk loses the title in the near future, where does that leave the ‘shakeup status quo’ angle, does he need a title to make it work? If Punk does keep the belt, and Punk is going to ride this ‘shaking up status quo’ argument into the foreseeable future, who else could wrestle him at Mania but Mr. Quo himself, Cena (who has a date with the Rock on that weekend)? Oh and what about poor Alberto Del Rio? I mean Del Rio’s money in the bank win doesn’t really seem to mean anything at this point. Is there any way that Del Rio could steal the title with the briefcase and fit into the Punk storyline? My personal feeling is that I see potential for a classic WWE storyline car wreck coming before mania. I guess my real question would be is this fly by the seat of your pants storytelling, or do the creative people really know where this is going?

I think it's important for Punk to win at SummerSlam, for a few reasons.  It keeps his character rolling (and yes I can see him continuing his tell-it-like-it-is anti-authority gimmick) and it also gets the title off of John Cena, who doesn't need it.  There is no way that Cena's match with Rock should be for the WWE Title.  The match itself is big enough, plus it makes no sense that a guy could take all of that time off and then come back for a title match, even if it's someone as big as Rock.  Punk could certainly do a feud with Del Rio.  I could see a Mania match with HHH or Chris Jericho (I would prefer the latter since I think H shouldn't wrestle as long as he is the "boss").  With WWE creative, you never really know what the long term plan is so we will have to wait and see.
