THE REIGN OF TRIPLE H AND WHAT WWE HAS TO DO TO MAKE IT SUCCESSFUL, COULD PUNK TAKE CENA'S PLACE AT MANIA, CHAVO SOUNDING BITTER AND MORE

My question is about Muhammad Hassan. In my opinion, despite his short run in the WWE, he was one of the finest heels I've seen. If the incident involving the 7/7 bombings wasn't aired, and he wasn't pretty much booked as a terrorist, where do you think his character direction would have gone? Do you think he could've been World Champion material?

He was an average, at best, worker and to me his character was purely based off of an incident that should have never been fodder for a wrestling storyline.  Given how he left the business to become an actor immediately after his run ended, I don't see him as being someone dedicated to the craft so no I didn't see him as title material.

I watched Raw for the first time in quite a few months and overall was happy, but I have a question on the Cena/HHH/Vince deal.  What are the chances that this isn't a storyline where Vince wins the company back down the road but his actual "in-ring" retirement and his way of "going out on his back"? Those looked like tears in his eyes... especially when the "thank you Vince" chant started.

Those were tears for sure.  They were done, at least at first, to sell the angle.  Whether they turned into tears of thanks to the fans only Vince could tell you.  With that said, at this point I think that we did indeed see him pass the on-air torch to Triple H.  I don't think that means we will never see him again on TV, but for the immediate future at least, Triple H will be the storyline head of the company.  On a side note, I think it's very, VERY important that creative refrain from having Triple H getting physical with wrestlers.  He needs to be an authority figure, not hitting the Pedigree on workers and showing that they don't matter as much as a guy in a suit who doesn't wrestle much any more, even if is he The Game.

I read your Q&As every day, and you get a lot of questions asking “what was the greatest match of all time?” or “what would be your dream match?” The recent question about “the worst PPV of all time” got me wondering: what would be the WORST match that never happened, but that you could imagine, between major WWE or WCW wrestlers from the past or present? Mine would be The Giant Gonzalez vs. The Great Khali.

I have a hard time coming up with something that could top, or rather bottom, that.  That is a great choice, though it would have a rubbernecking appeal to it.

Just wondering if anybody else feels the same way about Chavo Guerrero's recent commentaries as I do. To me he sounds like a disgruntled former world's champion (WWE has a lot of those) but in reality he got a much better deal than most ppl with his talents usually get. If it weren't for his family then I doubt most of us would have even noticed or even remember him. That's not to say that he's not talented but in a world where creative cannot find a good story for the likes of Jerry Lynn then I think that Chavo should count his blessings rather than burn bridges with everybody in the industry. Is it just me or am I right?

Well, they are better than Michael "John Cena broke my arm and laughed at me" Tarver commentaries.  With that said, I don't see the point of them to be honest.  Cena is doing what the boss wants him to do.  If Chavo was in Cena's position, I think he would have done the same things.  I also think Chavo had a nice run as well.  Everyone wants to be the champ but few people actually get to do it because only a few people are cut out for the role.  Chavo got to make a lot of money, certainly more than many guys that were similar to him in look and talent.  I think he is coming across as sour grapes here.

I was just wondering, in Rock's last "shoot" against Cena he mentioned taking him on earlier at Survivors Series. What are the odds then that we get Punk vs. Rock instead at Wrestlemania. Punk kept talking about how he should be in the match and maybe WWE saw that Punk vs. Rock would be a bigger draw than Cena vs Rock and that is why they switched the match. I personally would rather watch Punk take apart the Rock and I think the promos would be a lot better than what Cena could deliver.

He said he would see him at the Series and I am sure that he will show up, but the money is in the Mania match not a Series bout.  The only way we see Punk take Cena's place is if Cena gets injured.

On a follow up from a question last week, Tony Spivey sent the following. ... On the question about Scott Steiner’s big scar, I believe that one is from the trachea injury he suffered in Puerto Rico. Because of the tear in the trachea, surgeons had to go in from the side/back, through the ribs and around the lungs to safely reach the tear. If I had more time at work, I’d google an interview with Steiner in which he said that. Pretty scary, especially when you’re on an island, and your doctors/nurses speak very little English!  I know when I saw a TNA house show, right after Steiner rejoined the roster from that injury, the scar was much more pronounced than it is now, and still looked “recent”.

Thanks Tony!
