MONEY IN THE BANK MATCH FOR THE DIVAS, WHY WWE IS SCREWED NO MATTER WHAT THEY DECIDE TO DO FOR SAVAGE AND THE HALL OF FAME, TNA TITLES MEANINGLESS? AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2011-06-11 10:00:40
Was Dolph Ziggler's new look done for an upcoming video game? He's now the easiest create-a-wrestler out there. He looks miserable in his new and improved look.

It was a creative decision that was obviously a stupid idea (and soon to be forgotten, now that he's back to his original look.)

The one way in which I felt TNA did a good job in differentiating themselves from WWE in the past was they made the titles seem important. Now they all seem to be buried. Kaz's most recent opponents are now chasing Bischoff in the parking lot looking for TV time, the TV title is held by a jobber, no one seems to be chasing Beer Money for the Tag titles, the Knockout title is overshadowed by a zombie angle, I forgot there was a Knockout tag title until I saw them floating in the background of the annoying Mex-America angle, and according to rumors, Sting will be defending against Flair, apparently in an effort to turn the World title into the Legends title. What happened? Are titles now passé? Am I too old that I feel titles should be important, and can still made to be so?

No titles aren't antiquated, as we've seen what they can mean in other organizations. The difference is that in TNA, the promotion is more interested in having drawn out soap operas over political power and personal issues, so the idea of the championship being the most important thing in any wrestler's career and the goal that drives them is tossed aside. It's going to be that way until there is a regime change or someone with power in the company decides that's the way to go. It's frustrating to be sure. Until then, be happy you have other companies that make the belts as strong as they can be.

Should WWE have Alex Riley move into a feud with CM Punk after the Miz? Riley is over with the crowd now, but could use work in the ring. Wouldn't this be the best use of Punk before he leaves?

Given the crowd reactions for the turn and interaction with Miz, I'd say WWE made the right call. Plus, Punk isn't gone until his deal runs out, so you can't assume he is 100% out the door until he is.

Do you think we'll ever see a Money in the Bank for the WWE Divas Title? What do you think?

There's always a possibility of that, but I'd be worried about injuries as the Divas aren't exactly at the level of the Japanese female wrestlers, to be fair, and with their small frames, taking the type of bumps one would expect out of a ladder match is unfair to them.

With the tragic death of Randy "Macho Man" Savage do you expect/see WWE inducting him along with the late Miss Elizabeth into the WWE Hall of Fame next year posthumously? My condolences to his wife and his brother Lanny Poffo.

I haven't heard if they will induct them next year, but the passing of Savage leaves WWE in a "damned if you do, damned if you don't position" because they will be called on the carpet critically no matter what they decide to do. If they induct Savage, some will say it is because he passed away. If they don't, they are going to be called uncaring for ignoring him.
