CM PUNK BOLTING WWE FOR TNA, HELL IN A CELL AT WRESTLEMANIA MIAMI, FOLEY'S TNA DEPARTURE AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2011-06-09 10:00:00
Looking at the superstar landscape of WWE I think they're missing something. Well... missing a lot of things... but one that stands out if the need for a "tough guy" heel. Most or all of the WWE heels are the slimy, willing to cheat to win, take the high road kinda heel. What do you think of building someone up like a CM Punk (if he were to stick around), a Daniel Bryan, or even a Wade Barret as the heel thats just so damn good he doesnt need to cheat or sneak around to win. And the best part is that he knows hes that good. Thus the arrogance that would draw the heel heat. Your thoughts?

That sounds like the prototype for Ric Flair or Mr. Perfect in their prime. The idea is a great one, but the biggest issue would be that you'd likely have fans rallying behind the talents.

With all that speculation that we will be getting Taker vs HHH part 2 at next years Mania. What do you think of them squaring off in a Hell In The Cell. The biggest structure in the WWE at the biggest event of the year with the two superstars that made Hell In The Cell the big deal that it is. What do you think of the idea? What are the chances thats the direction WWE goes with the match?

I don't see WWE bringing out the Hell in A Cell for Wrestlemania again. The PPV doesn't need the Cell, which has evolved into its own PPV attraction, to add Mania buys.

Am I wrong or was there no female finalist on WWE's Tough Enough? Is that rather unusual? Why no female finalist?

Christina made it to the final five before she was eliminated. I don't know why it would be unusual to have males in the end. In the past, two women have won the contest.

If CM Punk does indeed leave WWE instead of ROH what are the chances of him being signed by TNA (Impact Wrestling)?

There is zero chance of Punk going to TNA. He worked there years ago and that run didn't end on good terms as he was the lone talent to refuse being yanked from Ring of Honor due to their TNA contracts.

Have you heard if Mick Foley was released from his contract? I know he has been written off of tv and has parted ways with TNA/Impact Wrestling, but I also heard his contract didn't run out until September. I was wondering if he is sitting out the rest his contract or if he got released early. I thought maybe if he can return to WWE sooner, he would be revealed as the RAW GM.

As of this writing, I have not heard Foley has received a release. I was told that his deal was expiring in September and he wouldn't be used going forward. With Monday's Raw in Long Island, a Foley return would be a nice surprise.
