MAKING THE MIZ STRONGER, IMPROVING PPV BUYRATES, TRIPLE H'S NEXT MATCH, WAS THE MONTREAL SCREWJOB FOR REAL

Work or shoot? I know the whole Montreal Screwjob thing has been discussed to death, but, what was a documentary crew doing hanging around with Bret (Wrestling With Shadows), if he had no idea the Montreal Screwjob was going to go down? It makes me think the whole screwjob thing was a work.

The documentary just so happened to be shooting when the incident took place.  As much as you can say anything is a shoot in wrestling, you can say it about Montreal.

Why is it that TNA and WWE are concerned with their PPV buyrates yet they often don't even announce a full card until right before the show, if then?

That is a damn good question, one that I don't have an answer to.  I am not saying that undercard matches would bring in tons of buys, but you never know.  It can't hurt.  And when stuff is added at the last minute, it just seems unimportant.  If they don't think it matters enough to tell the customers about, then why should the customer's care?  They need to do a better job there.

I don't understand the reason behind The Miz's actions recently involving his championship matches, whether he is the champion of challenger. Every single match has had some kind of interference.  The Miz is great on the mic with a great persona to match his in ring ability, but don't you think that the help he receives cheapens his abilities?

I agree with you.  In Vince McMahon's world, heels have to cheat and connive and can't be strong on their own.  I think it's insane because it makes them look weak.  When guys are booked as being even, it makes the match more compelling.  The way it is now, you know that if John Cena or Randy Orton are going to lose it will most probably be because someone cheated them or they got screwed.  That kills the anticipation of the unexpected in matches.

Which company do you think would do better on a national basis? SHIMMER or Dragon Gate USA?

I like both companies but I think DGUSA would have more appeal nationally due to the intense nature of their product.  I hope that we get the chance to find out.

In what PPV match do you see Triple H in next?  Personally I think CM Punk would be a good one.

I would love to see H and Punk but I don't see it happening, for two reasons.  One, unless something drastic happens all signs point to Punk leaving WWE when his contract expires this summer.  On top of that, HHH is now a part-time worker so I think he will saved for big things.  My hunch is that the company will see how Undertaker's injuries heal up, and then go from there.  It wouldn't shock me to see H beat Taker at SummerSlam, setting up the rubber match at next year's Mania.
