THE INTERNET RESPONSE TO CHRISTIAN LOSING THE WORLD TITLE, REPLACING MONEY IN THE BANK AT WRESTLEMANIA, THE ROYAL WEDDING AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2011-05-20 10:00:00
I am hoping you can confirm the terrific news that is circulating the internet at this time. Is it true that the entertainment company based out of Stanford Connecticut is interested in bringing back the Fabulous Rougeau Brothers?

Sadly, this is not the case. The "All American Boys" reunion musical tour is off.

I was always a fan of Christian Cage's days as a heel in TNA, I thought he was always superb on the mic and his matches rarely lacked. With that said do you think its more logical for Christian to be a face or heel in WWE?

I think Christian is strong enough that he can go either way. I'd like to see him remain a babyface as we've never seen what he can accomplish in a top babyface role within WWE, but if he's going to be in the main event picture as a heel, I am fine with that as well. He's earned his stripes.

Will you guys be one of the millions and millions who are tuning in to the royal wedding?

When Jerry Lawler gets married on Raw, I will be happy to cover it, as long as Lance Russell gives away the bride.

Since Money in the Bank has its own PPV, why not have a Championship Scramble match at the Show of Shows? This way everyone wins. The Midcard Superstars get a Payday and chance to see their name in lights, while the fans get a great match! What do you think?

I think the Scramble match has been abandoned because it was just a little too confusing for the average fan to follow. Money in the Bank, with the high flying spots and unique nature of a multi-person ladder match, was much easier to follow. To me, The Scramble match should be placed next to the Kennel from Hell match and never seen again...and then WWE should reinstate the Money in the Bank match at Wrestlemania, Hold one at Mania and another at the MITB PPV.

After seeing all the buzz on the Internet, twitter, etc. when Christian won the title, do you think his losing the belt was done intentionally to keep or increase interest in him? In the long run could this have been done to build Christian in WWE's eyes where they will use him as a replacement for Edge going forward?

No, because the company was legitimately surprised by the venomous reaction online. I think the reaction will lead to increased interest in pushing Christian but the tail wagged the dog here.
