RANDY ORTON'S MILITARY PAST, ZOMBIE CHYNA, KHARMA VS. THE DIVAS AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2011-05-19 10:00:00
I read where WWE Diva Alicia Fox was injured after an encounter with Kharma (Awesome Kong) on Raw. It was reported Fox injured her shoulder. Is this true? If so how is she doing? Is this going to be a problem having a woman the size of Kharma taking on girls half her size with very little ring experience?

She was out a few weeks with a separated shoulder and returned this past weekend on house shows. From watching the spot, it appeared Fox was in the wrong position to take the clothesline and landed wrong. I don't see that as an issue with Kharma's size but just bad timing and that could have happened to anyone in any match.

In the interest of full disclosure, I am not a Randy Orton fan. Never have been. But, knowing that Vince McMahon is a huge supporter of the military and has a ton of respect for what they do, why does he push Randy Orton? Orton was in the military and as discharged after being court-martialed for desertion. Desertion is a pretty serious offense, and one that someone who supports the military like McMahon does should take seriously. So, what's the deal? Do you know?

I've never heard this discussed but my gut is that whatever Orton did in the military, he served his time and put it behind him. You can't put the scarlet letter on someone for a mistake they did when they were younger, especially if you haven't walked in their shoes. As far as why WWE pushes Orton, it's quite simple. He sells tickets, PPV buys and merchandise. There's your criteria.

So... since she's hanging around, do you guys think Chyna could give Angelina Love some tips on how to act like a zombie?

I am just hoping this all leads to a new season of Surreal Life with Chyna, Vince Russo, Eric Bischoff, Kurt Angle, Chris Harris, Shark Boy and Verne Troyer all living together.

Do you think we'll ever see John Cena turn heel?

If the day ever comes where he's more valuable at selling tickets as a heel, yes. The irony will be that once he is turned, everyone will start finally cheering him!

I have always heard of the expression reinventing oneself in wrestling. Going from one long established persona to another. Both The Undertaker and Kane have become successful in going from one long term character to another. Who in your opinion need to do that? My choices are Madison Rayne and John Cena. What do you think?

I think Rayne is awesome in her current TNA role, so I don't see her as needing a makeover. I could see the point with Cena, but the real issue isn't his character but the terrible delivery of his promos (especially for a guy who can do way better on the mic) and the role that he plays. I don't see it as changing anytime soon, however. I'd like to see someone like Chavo Guerrero get a makeover, since he's probably gone as far as he can go in his current incarnation but still has a lot he could provide to the company from an in-ring standpoint.
