HULK HOGAN, ATTITUDE ERA, FUTURE OF THE CORRE AND MORE

By Buck Woodward on 2011-04-29 10:00:00

Did I miss it or did Hulk Hogan's tweet about Jimmy Hart coming to the WWE not come to fruition?

You didn't miss it, it didn't happen.  When it comes to Hulk Hogan's tweets, I suggest to view them for entertainment purposes only, and not as an actual source of useful information.

Better rivalry of the Attitude Era, Austin vs. Rock, Rock vs. Triple H, Austin vs. Triple H, or Mick Foley vs. Rock?

I would say Rock vs. Austin is the best of the ones you listed, but my number two pick isn't even on your list, which is Triple H vs. Mick Foley.  Their Streetfight and Hell In The Cell matches, in my opinion, elevated Triple H to a whole new level, culminating in him being the first heel to emerge victorious at the end of a Wrestlemania.

What Wrestlemania do you think was the worst booked? My pick is WM 22 because not any of the matches seemed special and a lot of them lacked that big match feel. The only match that was kinda must-see was Cena/Triple H, HBK/McMahon was not a real dream match and I don't think they dedicated enough build and effort to the Triple Threat match.

I have to disagree, as 22 had the great Edge-Foley match with a good build to it, a Mickie James-Trish Stratus match, and I actually enjoyed McMahon-Michaels.  Besides, the Money In The Bank match was fun too.  Wrestlemania 9 or 11 to me is the worst.  Eleven was just plain dull, with nothing clicking and some of the matches seemingly shoved on the show with no reason (Luger & Smith vs. the Blus?).  Nine was the first time the show just totally lost the "big time aura" with a lame card and illogical booking, like killing the Bob Backlund comeback story with a four minute loss to Razor Ramon, the Undertaker-Giant Gonzalez DQ finish and the ridiculous Hogan-Yokozuna ending to the show.

Who do you think is the best in-ring performer in the last ten years (or this current generation)? My choices would be, Kurt Angle, Chris Jericho, or AJ Styles, but I'm sure I'm missing some people that have made their mark within the last decade.

Shawn Michaels, as the last ten years would cover his entire post-comeback run, which has produced a ton of incredible matches.  Other than the Hulk Hogan-Summerslam debacle, I can't think of too many Shawn Michaels matches that didn't deliver between the ropes.

Is the Corre breaking up? I think they should break the Corre what are your thoughts?

It would certainly appear from last week's Smackdown that they are on the verge of being splintered.  Honestly, I think they should be split as well.  Barrett and Jackson could easily transition into strong singles heels.  I think Gabriel and Slater, despite being smaller, have a lot more charisma than they've been given a chance to show as mart of a group and could succeed on their own as well.
