HULK HOGAN, FLAIR & HHH, SHEAMUS AND MORE

I was watching old ECW television, and they tease a famous rock star as playing the national anthem at November To Remember 1997. But then it didn't happen. What's the story?

They were trying to get Slash to come play the anthem, but a deal couldn't be cemented in time, so the idea was dropped.

Watching Raw, 2/28. Twenty minutes into the show and all I can think of is "Who did Sheamus piss off?" One pedigree on a (badly) gimmicked table and the ready made HHH feud appears to be done. He then goes on to be pinned quickly and cleanly by a returning Evan Bourne. Yeah, I know, he was still selling the pedigree, but wow, he really came across as an 80's jobber tonight. What's happening with King Mayo?

Sheamus hadn't reached an agreement for a new deal with WWE, so Sheamus definitely got depushed for a while.  They definitely weren't going to put him over until they knew he was locked in.  That included the rather abrupt end to the HHH feud, although that was getting dropped anyway so HHH could do the Undertaker program.  At least that storyline had an ending, while the Taker-Corre-Kane situation saw Corre (then Nexus) essentially get away with burying Undertaker and never (to date) paying for it.

Why did Hulk Hogan opt to go to TNA and not the WWE?

WWE didn't offer Hulk Hogan the kind of deal TNA did.  It really is that simple.  WWE had already brought Hogan back many times, and wasn't interested in having him in a full-time role, while TNA was willing to make him a focal point of the company.

Do you think Teddy Hart will ever resign with WWE and make it to TV or would you like to see him back with WWE?

I really don't see it happening.  For all of Hart's talent, and he is a talented performer, he's pretty much blown his chances with the company.  Unless someone within WWE really champions the idea of signing him, and I don't see that happening, I just don't expect to see Teddy Hart in WWE.

Where were Ric Flair and Triple H during WrestleMania 23?

Triple H was out injured with a torn quadriceps.  Ric Flair, believe it or not, wrestled a dark match on the show, teaming with Carlito to beat Gregory Helms & Chavo Guerrero.  A clip from the match was shown during the PPV broadcast, but at the time, many fans were upset that arguably the greatest of all time was put in a dark match on the biggest show of the year.
