MICHAEL COLE, THE ROCK, THE LIVING LEGEND AND MORE

Since Swagger will be in Cole's corner for Wrestlemania, what do you think of Cole retiring from announcing to manage Jack?

I think Cole would be a fantastic heel manager, as a lot of his antics as a heel remind me of an 80's era manager.  That said, WWE has shown no interest in having a traditional heel manager in quite a long time.  I would love to see WWE give it a shot with Cole, but I tend to think it is unlikely.

After reading a interview about Randy Orton posted on your site recently, I was curious to find out how the other veterans, (Undertaker, Triple H, etc) feel about the Rock's return?

Undertaker hasn't publicly comments on it (which shouldn't surprise anyone), but Triple H has talked about being very happy to have Rock back.  Honestly, given the boost to Raw ratings since his return, every established star in the company should be happy that he has come back for the Wrestlemania build.  The only people I can see having a gripe about it would be those that were having a hard time getting on TV before his return, and now don't get on the shows.

Larry Zybysko and Chris Jericho… what the hell???  Scott Hall and Larry show a video that’s 15 years old and think it proves Larry’s point?  Is it just me or is that proving that Larry was more well known than a relatively fresh-faced Jericho in WCW over a decade ago?  And the whole thing Larry’s mad about is because Jericho bad-mouthed Larry in his book over the “Living Legend” moniker?  Even in 1999, I saw Jericho as the Living Legend moreso than Zybysko, who I could never stand… your take?

I think it is ridiculous, since Larry first began using the name as part of a storyline to infuriate Bruno Sammartino, the original "Living Legend" of professional wrestling, who Larry feuded with in the WWWF.  When Larryland went to the AWA, he kept using the nickname, again mocking true legends like Verne Gagne.  Somewhere along the way in WCW, the "Legend" moniker became a positive name, as Larry was a popular announcer, and his final active runs against Steven (William) Regal saw him work as a babyface.  However, he DID NOT beat Bruno Sammartino at Shea Stadium, and he ripped the name off of Bruno, so him complaining about Jericho using the name is just plain silly.

You guys ran an article I want to say in January regarding WWE possibly putting WrestleMania in movie theaters in 3D.  Any news of that?  Even not in 3D?  I would love to watch it this way….

It isn't happening this year, but as 3D technology continues to expand and grow, I would not be shocked at all to see it happen in the future.

Who is George Mayfield as mentioned on your Abdullah hotline. I'm not really an Abdullah fan but listened to figure out what I was missing. I guess next I'll check out his matches on line.

First of all, you should definitely check out some Abdullah matches.  Lot's of bloody chaos and fun.  George Mayfield has been selling wrestling merchandise for years, and can be found at many of the major wrestling conventions.  He is also one of the classiest gentlemen I have ever met while hanging around this crazy business, and helped to arrange my first trips to Japan for wrestling, something he has done for many over the years.  Several of the Abdullah stories I mentioned in the hotline involved him, which is why he was mentioned on the hotline.
