TERRY GORDY, ROSITA, WHY MICK FOLEY WENT FROM BEING UPSET ABOUT MONTREAL TO TAKING PART IN AN ANGLE OVER IT AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2011-03-13 10:00:00
I have been most impressed lately with TNA Knockout Sarita's cousin Rosita. I think Rosita will learn a great deal workingside one of the best wrestlers in the world today. What do you think? Do you see Sarita taking Rosita under her wing?

I think one of the reasons they have put the two together is to help Rosita learn. She's very talented but at the same time, very green and still growing as a performer. I also think she's still behind the curve as a heel as she seems to be a natural babyface. So, working with Sarita can do nothing but help her. I see a bright future.

Whatever happened to former Freebird member Terry Gordy?

Gordy passed away following a heart attack in July 2001. Without any doubt in my mind, he was one of the best big men workers of all time. I loved his work in the Freebirds and in Japan with Steve Williams. He was a hell of a performer.

What's the latest on TNA Knockout Daffney? I haven't seen her for awhile. Is she still with TNA? How is she doing?

Daffney was hardly used after suffering her concussion but to the best of my knowledge, she is still under contract.

If Mick Foley had as big a problem with the screwjob as he claimed to have in his book, including almost quitting, how come a year later, at the end of Survivor series 98, he was involved in mocking the incident? was he forced into this, or did he just not care anymore? ive always held that against him....

Foley was indeed angry about the Montreal incident and actually walked out on the company, but as he wrote in one of his books, the end result of that walk-out would have seen Bret Hart making millions for WCW while Foley would have been making nothing and perhaps sued for contract breach. So, he had no choice but to deal with it and go back to work. A year later, the screwjob was simply part of wrestling history and honestly, everyone was making a lot more money by then, which always makes one a little more agreeable to doing things they might not have wanted to do previously. Hart has always spoken highly of Foley for sticking up for him, so if Bret isn't upset with it, no one else really should be, either.

how come the Bam Bam Bigelow vs. Kamala match didnt take place at Wrestlemania 9? was there any build up to this feud? who do ya think would have gone over?

The match was yanked due to timing issues. My guess is that Kamala would have went over.
