NEXUS VS. THE NWO, WHY FANS THROW STREAMERS, TRISH ON DVD AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2011-03-01 10:00:00
I've watched my share of tapes over the years featuring Japanese women wrestlers and every time their introduced streamers of bright colorful ribbon are thrown into the ring. Why is that? What is the significance behind it?

It's simply a way of showing love and respect for the wrestlers they love. It's been imported into the United States over the years, mostly in the original ECW and Ring of Honor.

Even though its been done before do you see WWE producing a DVD on the life and career of Trish Stratus. A more definitive version than previously done.

Yes, especially since she's not back in the fold as an official member of the company. I think her career certainly deserves a deep retrospective.

Recently on Smackdown it looked as though both Layla & Michelle McCool might go after one another. Even though McCool was wearing a protective type boot over her right foot would it be possible for Michelle McCool to take part in a match? Would it be risky if she did?

Like other wrestlers who are injured, McCool can work hurt if she chooses. It's all about whether WWE would clear her to wrestle but my guess is that if McCool could pull it off, she would work - and most wrestlers feature that mental toughness.

Just a question, do you ever see the NWO story line coming back and possibly feuding with the nexus? I think it's kind of a waste WWE has this group of guys that's going around destroying everyone with no competition it seems to me like Vince is trying to create an angle better then the NWO and failing miserably, with Kevin Nash back is this a possibility?

I think age and the current state of many of those who made up the heart of the NWO would have prevented something like this from happening. Kevin Nash probably can't work a regular schedule. Sean Waltman has hepatitus and might not be able to be cleared to work in most States. Scott Hall hasn't wrestled full time since 2002 due to his personal issues. While it would be a great "Dream Match" idea, I don't see WWE going that route.

Now that both Dolph Ziegler and Vickie Guerrero have both been "fired" will we be seeing them at a unemployment line somewhere? Has anyone ever suggested taking up a donation for the two? If so would you contribute?

They are likely heading to Raw.
