HOW ROCK IS RECEIVED BACKSTAGE, PUTTING JERRY LAWLER'S MOM'S PASSING IN THE STORY LINE, IF BRYAN HAD STAYED IN NEXUS REY VS. THE SIXTH GRADE CLASS AND MORE

Let's play "What If." Go back in time to the night Wade Barrett first brought the original Nexus down to the ring during that fateful Cena/Punk match last summer. They attack the guys, destroy the ring, chase away the announcers, and cause general mayhem. Only let's change something. Let's say Daniel Bryan DOESN'T choke Justin Roberts with his tie and spit on John Cena. As a result, Daniel Bryan does not get fired. What do you think happens over the next several months with Daniel Bryan and Nexus? How does the storyline play out differently and does the Nexus still split up and does Daniel Bryan still have the US title today?

I was under the impression that Bryan was going to play the "silent assassin" role in Nexus.  I think he would have been really good in it.  With that said, I still think Superman Cena would have beaten the group single-handedly so it may have worked out better for Bryan to get fired and come back as a single.

I was reading on you site today (2/9) about Rey Mysterio doing an appearance with a group of 6th graders. What percentage of them are taller than him?

That cracked me up. I have said on audio, many times, that you should never have a World Champion that needs to be accompanied by an adult to go on the rides at Disney World, so you popped me with this.

As you have pointed out before, Steve Austin before and after his neck injury with Owen Hart were two very different wrestlers. The pre-injury Austin was a mat wrestler vs the post injury Austin was a brawler. Had Austin not been injured, do you think he would have changed his style to during the Attitude era? Do you think he could have still been the Stone Cold Character as a mat wrestler? I wonder if he would have been pushed as much or if he would have connected with the fans as much if he was a mat wrestler vs brawler.

Now that the Rock is back (for the weeks leading up to, and including, WrestleMania), I've always wondered what the Rock's relationship with the locker room was when he was still a regular member of the wrestling roster, given some of his promos. Was he well liked and were his promos well liked, or did a lot of wrestlers just treat him professionally knowing that he makes a lot of money for the company, and simply ignore some of his more biting promos?

He was actually very well liked back in his run because he was a "real guy".  He wasn't a politician or anything like that.  He was always willing to work with guys lower down the card and have fun with his character.  He was just doing a character on-air, though with a couple of guys he did say some things he felt.  You can't let what someone says in a promo bug you.  If you do, you better get some thicker skin.  As for Rock, he drew money and that trickles down.  Guys generally like that.

I know a lot of the wrestlers in WWE these days are pretty scripted with their lines and their delivery, while a lot of the wrestlers in the Attitude Era and before then were given more room to work with the mic. Were all of Rock's material his own, and did he (or any wrestlers in that era and before then) ever veto a promo with his target(s) at the time before going live with it?

You need creative control to pull a veto.  Well, that or you better be ready to quit.  Most of the top stuff back then was a collaborative effort.  Rock worked a lot with Brian Gewirtz.  But yes, the top guys had a lot of room to improvise back then, but John Cena does today as well.  He just chooses to wade into Poopy Land most of the time.

I was a little upset with Cole's (and in a small part, The Miz for his one or two lines) continued slagging of Jerry "The King" Lawler during tonight's (Valentine's) Raw. I realize they mentioned near the top of the show why King wasn't there, but were you like me and felt it was a little disrespectful to continue to slag Jerry on this night in particular, or did you feel it's just part of the business? I think they could have promoted the match he has with The Miz in a more tasteful way.

Not at all.  Hazel Lawler worked in the biz for years, so having her mentioned in an angle was a tribute really.  I think they were very respectful in how they mentioned her.  I had no problem with it at all.
