BATISTA, BEST AND WORST LADDER MATCHES, KOWALSKI AND MORE

Do you feel Batista was shortchanged when it came to his farewell? I know it's not his last time in the WWE, but what if it was? Seems pretty low considering what he had done for the WWE.

I don't think there was anything wrong with his farewell at all.  He got to go out on top, his last match was a PPV main event, and he made an exit on Raw that helped put over someone (although you could argue John Cena didn't need putting over) on the way out.  Most wrestlers don't get any kind of "farewell" at all, they just lose and disappear.  Very few ever get a Shawn Michaels or Ric Flair-style sendoff.

What happened to the wrestling scene in Australia? I got the Pro Wrestling Australia doco with all the former champs (including Harley Race, Curtis Iakuea and JJ Dillon). They were doing so well. And now it's non-existent except for the WWE shows that come here, the former WWA tours and Indie scene.

Part of it is the local scene died down, and another part was the crumbling of the NWA, which ended the regular appearances of the World Champion in the country.  Once the NWA territory in Australia, which I believe was run by Jim Barnett, died down, it just became a country that waited for the occasional tours.

Why was Killer Kowalski never a World Champion? And who else has he trained besides HHH and Chyna?

Kowalski's prime years were during Bruno Sammartino's legendary run with the WWWF title, so like many top heels of the era, they challenged Bruno in main events, but never won the gold.  The most notable name Kowalski trained outside of HHH and Chyna would be Perry Saturn, who was half of the Eliminators in ECW and went on to a singles career in WCW and WWE.

Please explain the situation between Bruno Sammartino and Vince McMahon/WWE. So many sides I don't know what's going on. Who likes who and who doesn't etc.

I guess the best way to explain it today is that Bruno doesn't like Vince, or at the very least refuses to accept induction into the WWE Hall Of Fame or have anything to do with the current WWE product.  Bruno's side is that he doesn't like the product Vince now produces, and he has made strong comments about drug use in wrestling in the past, blaming the culture WWE created for it.  The other side, according to some, is that Bruno is annoyed that a promised push for his son, David Sammartino, never materialized, and Vince used that promise of a push to get Bruno to do more for the company.  Regardless, I think it is sad that events that occurred over 20 years ago are preventing Bruno from being given the credit he rightfully deserves as WWE's first megastar.  Many have tried to get Bruno to accept induction in the Hall Of Fame (pointing to Bret Hart as an example of going in without being part of the product), but Sammartino continues to refuse.

There have been so many Ladder matches. And so many have been impressing, but I ask: A) Which is the best Ladder match of all time (Including TLC and all derivatives of it); b) Which is the worst and; C) Which is the most surprising, as in 'I didn't expect much from it, but that was pretty good!'

Going in reverse, the most surprising had to be Ric Flair vs. Edge in a TLC match.  At that stage in Flair's career, and given his lack of experience in that style of bout, it was amazing the kind of performance he turned in, and of course, Edge is one of the best at ladder matches.  The worst could be any number of lame ladder matches that have happened in WWE, WCW and the indy scene over the years, so it is hard to just pick one.  The best ladder match, to me is still Shawn Michaels vs. Razor Ramon at Wrestlemania 10, although the first TLC match with the Hardys, Edge & Christian and the Dudleys is up there too.
