BRENT ALBRIGHT-WWE, CHAMPIONSHIP REMATCHES, THE ROCK HEADLINING THE MIAMI WRESTLEMANIA HALL OF FAME AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2011-02-16 10:00:00
Several years back WWE released a wrestler named Gunner Scott who then returned to the independents as Brent Albright. Any chance WWE rehires him? He seems to have a good look. Not sure about is promo skills, but stylistically he would fit among the Punks, Bryans, and Del Rios it would seem.

While I always enjoyed Albright's work, I don't foresee WWE looking to bring him back.

I was wondering, why did the SummerSlam PPV from 1988-1994 come on Monday's instead of the traditional Sunday's? Why did they stop this format?

The original idea was that since it was during the Summer, most families were home for the summer so it didn't matter whether it was a school night or not. In the 1990s, WWF decided to move every PPV to Sunday, creating a traditional night for PPVs. Plus, it wouldn't compete with Monday Night Raw. It was one thing to compete with a taped Primetime Wrestling episode but Raw was a different animal. In the early years of PPV, it wasn't rare to have PPV events on different evenings during the week.

So I guess I will start the biggest question that will start being asked after Wrestlemania. Since Wrestlemania being in Miami next year do you think The Rock will FINALLY be inducted into the hall of fame as the headliner?

If he's available, I certainly see WWE making every attempt possible to lock him in as a main event inductee that night, but we are more than a year away, so it's far too early to say.

What do you think of having Randy and Punk go at it during the elimination chamber and have Cena get eliminated in the mix by accident. This leads to Cena vs. Punk vs. Randy at WM and then you put Morrison vs. Miz as the title match. How would you feel if they went in that direction? Plenty of background for a Morrison Vs. Miz match and it puts a big money three way together for WM. Your thoughts?

I think it's an interesting idea but I don't believe that is where WWE is looking to go. Morrison vs. Miz is not going to be in a headline position of the biggest show of the year. Not yet, anyway.

Do any wrestlers legitimately have championship rematch clauses in their contracts?

Of course not.
