WHY ERIC BISCHOFF DOES WHAT HE DOES, MVP TOTALLY MISUSED BY WWE, KONG VS. PHOENIX, HHH'S INFLUENCE AND MORE

I saw that Eric Bischoff went on his social sites and ripped on PWInsider, disputing that TNA was running Impact on 2/24 in North Carolina (even though Dixie Carter tweeted it) and he called Dave a fat slob that can't find his penis.  My questions are: Why is he suck a jerk?  Why doesn't he know that Dixie Carter announced the event on his Twitter page.  And if he was going to rip on PWInsider, why did he choose something that wasn't even wrong to do it for?

I have said before that my take on it is that Eric Bischoff is a master of bluster and misdirection and this was a good example of his tactics.  He does it whenever someone makes legitimate criticisms of him, as I have done in the past concerning the lack of value he has brought to TNA relative to what he said he would bring.  Rather than address the factual statements that people make, he takes the conversation off in a different tangent and confuses the issues.  His goal is to misdirect the person that is making the legitimate criticisms of him.  He figures that if he can stop them from relaying the truth, he can change the direction of discourse (and my hunch is keep the people from whom he is garnering a paycheck from realizing what he does and does not bring to the table).  So, he makes outlandish, often ridiculous statements so people focus on them rather than the germane points at hand.  He also mocks people making the points hoping to turn legitimate criticism into a he said, he said catfight where the person making the criticism then looks foolish.  He has been using the tactic for years and to be fair it's a pretty good course of action for someone to take when they don't have the facts on their side.  That is the best possible reason that he acts as he does because if there isn't a bigger plan in place with his bluster, he's just a 55 year old man who is still in his awkward teenage stage.

I've always wondered ' what if' on Miz and MVP. I remember them both being ripped on websites for having awful gimmicks and ring attire but both were heels and allowed to continue their path. Well at one point out of nowhere they made MVP a face, which to me didn't make sense because of his feuds with Matt Hardy and Rey Mysterio. I thought MVP was getting over as a heel as was the Miz. Did you notice the similarities between the two and how Miz was allowed to stick to his element and work on it to be what he is today whereas it seems MVP had his legs cut from under him and made to be a face too soon when it wasn't necessary? Do you feel that way?

I never heard anyone say that MVP was undeserving when he first came up, but they did about Miz.  MVP was always seen as a guy that was a student of the business and tried hard to learn more.  Miz was a different story as he was a reality TV star when he came to WWE and even he says he didn't make a great impression when he debuted. Obviously, he has worked hard to change all of that.  MVP worked hard too but never had anyone with power in his corner promoting him and WWE wasted a very valuable talent in my opinion.  They dropped the ball in a big way with him.

What kind of news do you have about Bobby Heenan?

The last I heard he was continuing to deal with the health issues that he has encountered in the past few years.  He is a fighter and we wish him all the best.

Do you think an Awesome Kong vs. Beth Phoenix match built up right and, at a Wrestlemania, would it be Hogan/Andre of Women's Wrestling?

I think it could make for a very cool program but it wouldn't be on that level.  The women's division in WWE hasn't been pushed very well over the last few years so even a great feud will only register so much.  If they decided to really focus on the feud, I could see it maybe someday being in the fourth or fifth from the top position on a Mania, but it would take more time than doing it from now until this year's show.

Doesn't it seem like WWE has loosened the leash with some of there performers on scripted stuff and, also it seems as if the matches are getting better. Is this apart of HHH coming in under Vince? Is he letting these guys create more instead of being fed what to do? It just seems like they are letting some guys be themselves to an extent.

I have actually noticed that too.  I can't say for sure if it's HHH's influence or whether it is directly due to the changes in the creative process that Vince McMahon instituted in the wake of falling PPV buyrates.  My best guess would be that HHH's influence has at least something to do with the change and I have to say I really like the wrestlers seeming like people instead of robots.
