WHY TMZ SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES, GAIL KIM IN WWE, TEDDY HART AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2011-01-02 10:00:00
In your opinion, why do you think The WWE has not pushed Gail Kim, she just seems to be lost in the shuffle and does not get a push of any type, they aggressively went after her when her TNA contract expired, and now look, not even a title shot or title run?

I think its pretty obvious that they hired her so that TNA wouldn't build their women's division around her and are paying her more to do less. Sadly, that's the way of the world sometimes.

Whatever happened to Teddy Hart?

The last word on Hart was that a legal situation in Canada led to his arrest, which canceled several scheduled bookings with Jersey All Pro Wrestling. I don't have any additional information beyond that.

What's your take on the photos of the gathering in Umaga's memory ending up on TMZ.com?

Personally, I wouldn't have made the decision to post them online. We've always tried very hard to leave the personal lives of professional wrestling personalities left just that, in their personal lives. There will be times where the personal lives bleed into their professional world and you have to make decisions at to whether to cover that on a case by case basis. However, to me, that gathering and those photos had nothing to do with the professional wrestling world. It's very sad to see that someone took what was a private gathering of friends and used it to make some money for themselves, because you would have to assume that TMZ.com paid for that photo gallery. Umaga's memory and his friends' feelings are worth much more than a few clicks on the internet and whatever money those clicks derived. Everyone involved should be ashamed of themselves.

Given the success of the other "History of the ... Championship" DVDs, and the rich lineage and prestige behind it, do you see the WWE ever presenting us a "The History of The United States Championship" DVD?

Yes, future DVD and book titles in that series are being discussed and prepared.

Do you think that as Smackdown's ratings get better, SYFY will want more WWE TV product like USA does and possibly bring NXT back?

No, I don't see them ever bringing NXT back to their network. When SyFy wanted to cancel ECW, WWE pitched them on NXT to save the timeslot. SyFy agreed, as long as they met certain ratings requirements. The show failed to make them and was dropped. I'd be shocked to see it return on SyFy.
