FCW TELEVISION REPORT: STEAMBOAT/COLON IN A 15 MINUTE IRON MAN MATCH; BYRON SAXTON EXPLAINS HIS ACTIONS FROM LAST WEEK . . . BUT NOT FROM THE ANNOUNCE TABLE

We begin with a look back at last week when Byron Saxton left the announce table to help Mason Ryan in his match with Johnny Curtis. What is next for the voice of FCW?

We are live on tape from Tampa, Florida and your announcers are Matt Martlaro and Abraham Washington.

Matt asks Washington to talk about what happened last week, but first Abe wonders who Matt is. Abe says shame on Byron for having him work with Matt.

Match Number One: Richie Steamboat versus Tito Colon in a Fifteen Minute Iron Man Match

The match starts and they shake hands before locking up. Steamboat with an arm drag and then they lock up again. Steamboat works on the arm but Colon reverses and puts Steamboat in a side head lock and he takes him to the mat. Steamboat with a head scissors but Colon escapes and he returns to the side head lock. Steamboat with a rollup for a near fall. Steamboat tries to escape by rolling through but Colon holds on. Colon with a shoulder tackle but Steamboat with an arm drag and then he gets a near fall. Colon with a near fall of his own. Colon with an arm drag but Steamboat with one of his own into an arm bar. Steamboat with a rollup for a near fall. Steamboat blocks a move from Colon and gets a near fall.

Steamboat with a wrist lock and he kicks Colon. Colon backs Steamboat into the turnbuckles and he connects with an elbow. Each man tries for a drop kick but they neutralize each other. They shake hands again. They lock up and Steamboat with a kick and forearm followed by chops. Colon with an Irish whip and then Colon with a head stand in the corner and then he kicks Steamboat and then head scissors Steamboat to the floor. Colon tries for a pescado but Steamboat moves and then he hits a clothesline on the floor.

Both men are down and we go to commercial.

We are back and Steamboat with a reverse chin lock but Colon gets to his feet. Steamboat with an Irish whip but Colon with an elbow. Steamboat tries for a cross body but Colon with a drop kick to Steamboat and he gets a near fall.

Colon with a drop kick and he gets a near fall. Colon sends Steamboat into the turnbuckles and he chops Richie and works on the ribs. Colon with another Irish whip and a kick. Colon with a butterfly suplex and he gets a near fall. Colon with a body scissors on Steamboat and he gets a near fall with a rollup. Steamboat with an elbow but Colon with a forearm. Steamboat with an Irish whip and he is sent to the apron. Steamboat with a chop from the top turnbuckles followed by a clothesline and chops. Steamboat gets a two count. Colon lands on his feet on a belly-to-back suplex and then he tries for a swinging neck breaker but Steamboat blocks it. Steamboat with a snap swinging neck breaker but Steamboat kicks out.

Steamboat goes up top and hits a cross body for a near fall. Steamboat kicks Colon in the back . Colon tries for a moonsault but Steamboat moves out of the way. Colon with a head scissors and then he hits a Flatline but can only get a two count. Colon goes to the apron and tries for a springboard move but Steamboat counters with a sit out power bomb and Colon kicks out.

Both men try to get back to their feet as the referee counts. Steamboat kicks Colon but Colon with an enzuigiri. Colon gets a near fall and then he slams Steamboat’s head into the mat. Colon goes to the turnbuckles for a moonsault but Steamboat crotches him. Steamboat with forearms to the back. Steamboat tries for a super belly-to-back suplex and he hits it and both men are down. The referee starts his count as they try to get to their feet. Steamboat gets to his feet and the referee stops his count. Steamboat gets a two count when Colon kicks out.

We are down to one minute and Colon hits a backdrop driver but Steamboat kicks out at two. Colon punches Steamboat and Steamboat responds with punches of his own. We get a series of near falls and Steamboat blocks a victory roll but Colon kicks out. We reach the fifteen minute mark and neither man has a pinfall or submission.

Draw

The fans want the match to continue and we see Steamboat and Colon shake hands and hug.

Jamie Keys with Percy Watson in the interview area. She asks Percy about the problems with Husky Harris. Percy says that they don’t see eye to eye and they don’t get along. Percy says that it is an understatement that they have issues.

Harris attacks Watson during the interview. Harris says that they have a problem as he stands over Percy. Husky leaves as we go to commercial.

We are back and the FCW General Manager Maxine comes to the ring with Buck Nixon, her head of security. Maxine says that she hopes everyone is enjoying the show. She mentions that there have been some changes. She has a special return match with Alex Riley facing Mason Ryan for the FCW title.

Steve Keirn comes out with the official ring truck driver of FCW, Norman Smiley. Maxine says that it is good to see FCW President Steve Keirn. Steve says that he is doing well. He is impressed with what Maxine is doing. Steve says that he has some issues to deal with and one of them is Norman Smiley. He is no longer on the ring crew. Maxine says that Norman is great at that job. Steve pulls him off the ring crew. Steve says that while he was in Stamford, he has some ideas. He talks about some communication issues between their offices. Maxine agrees with Steve’s assertion. Steve says that there is a liaison between offices. Steve says that it is someone he trusts and respects. That person is Norman Smiley. Steve tells Maxine to have a nice day and then Steve and Norman leave the ring.

We go to commercial.

Match Number Two: Michael McGillicutty versus Wes Brisco

Michael takes Wes to the mat and walks on his back. Wes gets up while Michael poses and Wes with a slap that forces Michael into the corner. Wes with a rollup for a near fall and then he gets a few more near falls. Wes with a drop toe hold followed by an Oklahoma roll for yet another near fall. Wes with a kick and he sends Michael into the turnbuckles followed by shoulders. Wes with an Irish whip followed by a hip toss and arm drags. Michael with a thumb to the eye and then he sends Wes to the floor. Michael runs Wes into the apron and then he punches Wes repeatedly. Michael returns Wes to the ring and gets a near fall. Michael with a knee to the back and then he adds a rear chin lock. Michael sends Wes to the mat and then connects with a few more knees to the back before returning to the rear chin lock. Wes with punches but Michael with a drop kick and he gets a near fall. Michael with a snap mare and the leap frog neck snap and gets a near fall. Wes with a punch but Michael responds with a knee to the midsection and he gets a near fall. Michael returns to the rear chin lock. Wes with elbows to get out of the hold and he follows with punches to Michael in the corner and the referee warns Wes. Michael with an elbow but he misses a clothesline. Wes with a European uppercut followed by a flying shoulder tackle or two. Wes with a flapjack for a near fall. Wes with an Irish whip and then he tries for a monkey flip but Michael holds on to the ropes and Michael hits the McGillicutter for the three count.

Winner: Michael McGillicutty

We go to an interview that Matt Martlaro conducted with Byron Saxton to discuss his actions from last week. Matt says that Byron is the most controversial figure in FCW. Matt mentions that Byron has been a trusted figure in FCW being the voice of FCW for almost two years. Matt asks Byron ‘why’. Byron asks if that is what everyone wants to know. What is on the mind of the man who became the voice of FCW. What is on the mind of the person who dedicates every day of his life to be the best commentator he can be. He says that he thought he finally made it when he got the call up to ECW. Then four months later, it all comes to an end and he is right back in FCW. Byron says that he thought he needed to do something to save his career. Matt asks if ‘saving his career’ means hitting Johnny Curtis with a roll of quarters. Byron tells Matt why not Johnny Curtis because he is one of the top superstars in FCW? Isn’t it the goal of every superstar to make an impact and get noticed? Byron points out that Matt is interviewing him. The WWE office called him about why he did what he did last week so he is being noticed. Byron says that nobody wants to be in FCW for the rest of their life. The goal is to make it to the WWE. If it means knocking out Johnny Curtis, shaking up the system, and ruffling a few feathers, that is what he is going to do. Byron says that he wants to be a WWE superstar and he says that he will be a WWE superstar.

We go to commercial.

We are back for the main event and we have a guest Ring Announcer, WWE Hall of Famer Howard Finkel.

Match Number Three: Alex Riley versus Mason Ryan for the FCW Title

They lock up and Ryan pushes Riley away. Riley with a forearm to the back and then he backs away before Ryan can retaliate. Riley with a waist lock but Ryan with a standing switch. Riley with a standing switch of his own but Ryan with a hip lock take down into a key lock. Riley with a brief head scissors but Ryan escapes. Ryan tries for the torture rack but Riley gets to his feet but Riley tries for the TKO but Ryan blocks it. Ryan with a punch and kicks to Riley. Ryan with an Irish whip but Ryan goes into the turnbuckles when Riley moves. Riley sweeps the leg to take Ryan down. Riley with a double sledge to the back and then he works on the leg.

Riley with elbow drops to the leg and then he isolates the leg while Ryan tries to figure out a way to escape. Riley with another knee to the leg but Ryan kicks him off with his good leg. Riley clotheslines Ryan over the top rope to the floor and Riley goes to the floor as well. Riley with a double sledge to the back but Ryan Irish whips Riley into the ring steps.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Ryan with a rear chin lock on Riley but Riley punches Ryan and gets a near fall with a sunset flip. Ryan responds with a clothesline for a near fall. Ryan with a suplex for a near fall. Ryan with a seated full nelson but Riley gets to his feet and hits a jawbreaker. Riley punches Ryan and chops him. Ryan with a big boot as Riley comes off the ropes. Ryan tries for a uranage but Riley counters with a DDT and both men are down. Riley is the first to recover and he gets a near fall. Riley punches Ryan but Ryan punches back. They continue to exchange punches. Riley with a belly-to-back suplex set up into a side slam for a near fall. Riley with an uppercut and kick to Ryan.

Ryan catches Riley and he hits a uranage but can only get a near fall. Ryan with an Irish whip but he misses the charge. Riley tries to get Ryan up for the TKO but Ryan gets to his feet. Ryan tries for a power bomb but Riley counters with a back body drop. Ryan gets Riley in the torture rack and Riley taps out.

Winner: Mason Ryan
