First, I would like to say I am a huge fan of the website. As soon as I am financially able, I intend on joining your Elite section to do my part to support all that you guys do. A while back, you wrote on the site that you would no longer be placing Elite News Headlines on the Non-Elite part of the site. I was quite happy about this decision, because it saved me from visiting pages of which I had no access to. Recently, it appears you have repealed this decision, and I have to ask why. While I understand wanting to get people to join the Elite section, every time we non-Elite click on one of your pages, we are inundated with ads that block the entire screen and slow down our PCs, making these false-stories all the more irritating for us. So my question is, why have you gone back to doing this, and will you re-consider?
Thanks for considering enjoying the Elite site. We appreciate all of the people that do that because frankly that is what keeps us in business. The lion's share of our revenue comes from subscriptions so obviously we need to generate as many of them as we can because that is what keeps the vast majority of the content on the site free. We have always been committed to putting as much free content on the site as we can. I think we do a great job of that. Of course, ads have to be a part of that process.
We have heard from people that feel we should make everything on the site free, but those people don't seem to care that like them we too have families to feed and bills to pay and thus must generate revenue for the many hours that we work here on the site. It nice to see that you are not one of those people and asked about the situation nicely. Thank you for that.
We did make the decision to remove the Elite headlines from the main free page listing but we found out that it is an important tool for us to have the headlines there as it leads to people subscribing and supporting the site. It had become something of an out of sight, out of mind situation so we made the decision to move them back. We will try to do our best to able Elite only posts as such in the future. Remember, you can always look at the listing on the right side of the main page, which lists all of the recent Elite headlines, if you want to see if a certain story is Elite-only or not.
Does WWE rely too much on facial expressions? I know they help tell the story especially during matches but, it almost seems as if they take it over board way past the matches.
On the whole, I don't think so. WWE is about entertainers telling stories and the facials are part of that.
So in the last several weeks on TNA we've seen Ric Flair's butt in his street fight with Jay Lethal and Jeff Hardy's butt in his "pre-show brawl" with Abyss. If TNA is so fond of showing butts, why does it have to be men? Can't we see some of the Knockouts' butts instead? Maybe someone backstage at TNA likes looking at dudes' butts, but I for one think it's about time we see some Knockout butt instead. I think they should start with Velvet Sky's butt. That would be glorious. Is that too much to ask?
Man, I am with you. When they came up with the name TNA, it was done as away to imply that we would see female body parts. I don't think anyone envisioned seeing a male senior citizen's butt when the name was created. So I am with you here.
One thing about the potential Miz vs. Bryan feud, I'm thinking not only will it give both sides a chance to do some great promos, but the opportunity for Miz to improve his ring game. Don't get me wrong here, the Miz has really impressed me with what he's shown, but working with Bryan? I think this has the potential to deliver some great promos and ring work and turn Miz into the top-flight talent he's working hard towards becoming. And if Michael Cole doesn't stop ragging on Bryan's "minor-league" past, he'll turn some WWE fans onto ROH, Dragon Gate USA, Chikara, FIP, PWG, etc when they want to see these "minor leagues."
Obviously working with a great technician like Bryan is a plus for any wrestler as the guy is known for his great matches. So yes sir, Miz vs. Bryan is a feud I am looking forward to as well. Miz has gotten really, really good in the ring so the matches between the two should be strong. As for your last statement, WWE has no desire to create audiences for other companies so don't count on that happening.
What is the deal with Balls Mahoney? First, he gets arrested for supposedly staging a fight in a restaurant in front of customers. Now he is blaming Axl Rotten for not being able to get a job in TNA and/or the WWF/E. Does Mahoney really have a legitimate beef with Axl Rotten or is he just looking for a scapegoat and is really that crazy?
Doing the "angle" got him arrested in NJ was not a good idea at all. I can't say anything positive there. However, a number of people have told me the same story about Axl Rotten and how he acted at Hardcore Justice so I have to side with Balls on that one.
