I am sure he may have discussed the match in interviews around the time where he returned from the injury. That match is often pointed to by WWE wrestlers as to why they have a deep respect for HHH - when he had every right to stop everything, he still allowed himself to be put in the Walls of Jericho after the tear. Say what you will about him, but he's certainly one tough guy.
TNA Television title in tribute to Flair winning the TV title in WCW or something like that? Even though Ric Flair never won it - is this TNA ignoring the intelligence of the audience again?
I think it's just TNA trying to come up with some reason to change the title's name.

He loved wrestling, period. There are a lot of people in the company who were amazed at how hard he worked and the physicality he endured in his matches. It earned him a lot of respect at the time. As for why he did it - he loved performing.

Rikishi Phatu is based on the West Coast and is involved with the Knokx Wrestling School. He also booked and wrestled for Nu-Wrestling in Europe and does independent work from time to time.
