SABU, GUERREROS, TURNING CENA HEEL AND MORE

By Buck Woodward on 2010-02-27 10:00:00

If you ask me, they have to get Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler out of the announce booth, they contribute NOTHING to the show.  Either go back to the heel / face announce team that has worked so well over the years or get a new team in.

I agree, the Cole & Lawler pairing just isn't working in their current incarnation.  If WWE is going to insist keeping them as a team, then perhaps Cole needs to bring in the heel character he is doing on NXT to balance out Lawler as the babyface announcer.

Would the WWE ever induct Sabu into their hall of fame?

I imagine they would consider it eventually, but given the way his WWE run ended, I wouldn't expect it to happen anytime soon.

Are Chavo and Vickie Guerrero pretty much guaranteed jobs in the WWE until they retire?

I don't know if I would use the word 'guaranteed', but unless they put WWE in a position where they have to let them go, I see both Guerreros staying with the company until they choose to leave.

Would turning Cena heel be the thing the business needs to get people talking again? How long until this happens?

Not anytime soon, and I don't really see that as being the boost WWE needs.  Cena sells a LOT of merchandise to WWE's younger fans, and to give up that revenue with a heel turn seems highly unlikely.

What was it like for you guys when Benoit did what he did?

Ridiculously busy, and at the same time, very sad and disappointing.  I never got into this business to cover a double murder-suicide story.  I was a huge fan of Chris Benoit's work, but I find it hard to appreciate his matches today, some of which rank as among the best ever, as a result of his actions.
