DID JEFF HARDY STAB WWE IN THE BACK?, REFEREES, COMMERCIAL BREAKS AND MORE

By Buck Woodward on 2010-02-19 10:00:00
Is there a reason why the "great" referees like the Hebners have dead giveaways on long 2 counts? Is it really hard to have one count style that doesn't telegraph it?

I agree, I prefer that referees have a constant, steady cadence, whether it is a two count or three count, as it makes the count look more "legitimate" as opposed to you getting the feeling that the referee "knows" he is only counting two.

So you think the WWE could do a better job of not ruining big matches with commercial breaks?

I understand the frustration, especially when the go to the break almost as soon as the match begins.  That said, I'd rather have a twelve minute match with a three-minute break than a four minute match with no break.

Did Jeff Hardy screw WWE/stab WWE in the back? Wrestlers change companies pretty frequently but Jeff insisted he wanted time out and virtually guaranteed to the 'WWE Universe" he would come back, it wasn't because of drugs like last time. He screwed up so many times but they still put the title on him and put their faith in Jeff, so even for the dirty business of wrestling isn't this pretty cheap?

Certainly from the WWE perspective, Hardy didn't do them any favors by showing up in TNA, especially after WWE has continuously given him second-chances and pushed him as a top star.  However, Hardy was contractually free and clear to do whatever he wants, so he has every right to go to TNA.  So, while some may not like it, he was under no WWE obligation to not go there.  Besides, you get the impression one of the reasons Hardy went to TNA was to help Shannon Moore get a shot there (although neither has appeared since).  And remember, this is Jeff Hardy, he might very well end up back in WWE!

I read where it was cold in the dressing rooms during the live TNA three hour show introducing Hulk Hogan. I wonder how both The Beautiful People and the former Val Venis Sean Morley felt wearing only two piece outfits and a towel?

I would imagine they were cold.

What kind of impact (pardon the expression) do you see the former Val Venis (Sean Morley) will have at TNA? Do you see Morley given a greater push than WWE ever gave him?

Well, Morley has actually wrestled a few match on television, and he's gotten a win, so that's way more than WWE has given him in years.  That said, I don't see Morley getting a main event spot, but again, anything is more of a push than he has gotten in WWE lately.  At his peak, Morley was on the "Intercontinental Title" level, so I can certainly see him getting that kind of spot in TNA.
