Some years ago, back when the Great American Bash was more than just a one-night PPV event, Ric Flair put the title up every night for 30 days. As my memory fades, I can no longer remember if he chose to do that or if per-storyline he was forced into it. I do remember it being a fun idea. Have you any idea who the challengers were during that event? Or perhaps you might know of a link where such information can be obtained? I'd sure appreciate finding out. Thanks so much!
It wasn't every night for 30 days, but it was a month and a half with Flair having a title defense on every Bash card, and there were over 15 Bash cards. The title defenses were against Dusty Rhodes, Magnum T.A., Wahoo McDaniel, Ronnie Garvin, Nikita Koloff, Ricky Morton, Robert Gibson, Road Warrior Animal and Road Warrior Hawk, with several defenses against each man. Of course, he ended up losing the belt to Dusty in what I believe was the next to last Bash (I'm doing this from memory). The idea was that Flair kept proclaiming he would make it through all the defenses, proving he was the greatest of all time.
When will Matt Hardy get the push he deserves? I see a overlooked & under rated talent like Hardy taking TNA to the next level will he ever cross the line?
If you mean a World Title push, I don't know if
Matt will ever get it. WWE seems content to keep him just under main event
status. As for Hardy going to TNA, he hasn't shown any interest in going
there, so until that happens, he seems content to stay with WWE. I'm sure
TNA would love to have him (and his fan following).
With Hulk Hogan showing up on TNA, is this the first time a WWE Hall of Famer has been advertised for and appeared on a competitor's nationally-televised wrestling show?
Nope. Jimmy Snuka was advertised and
appeared on the Hereos Of Wrestling PPV (which was nationally available) and
also appeared on an edition of WCW Nitro after being inducted into the WWE Hall
Of Fame in 1996.
Is there any rule that a woman cannot take part in the Royal Rumble?
Nope. Chyna and Beth Phoenix have proven
that rule does not exist.
Who do you see as the next Divas Champion?
I would bet on Maryse taking the title. Gail Kim has never gotten much of a sustained push by WWE.
