BRET HART'S WWE RETURN, TED DIBIASE THE ACTOR, WENDI RICHTER AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2010-02-14 10:00:00
So I noticed on this past Monday Night's RAW that Sheamus's WWE Championship still doesn't have a name plate on it yet.  I know I may be reaching a bit here but does that small little fact pretty much mean that Sheamus will be dropping the title right back to John Cena very soon?

No.  At the time, they didn't have a plate prepared for Sheamus.

With Bret Hart scheduled to appear as guest host on Raw on January 4th in 2010 do you see WWE contacting Wendi Richter into making an appearance as well?

No.  WWE reached out to Richter to appear in the Divas Battle Royal at Wrestlemania 25 and she turned down the opportunity.  Richter left on bad terms and honestly, I don't think there would be a huge clamor for her return at the level of Bret Hart's.  There's been so much time removed from her short but fun run as a top babyface for the company, that the majority of fans today wouldn't have any emotional connection to her return.

Its been reported that Bret Hart is going to be guest host on Raw on 1/4 in 2010. Do people still feel as strongly about the infamous Montreal "screwjob" today or do most fans no longer care about the once great incident? How does Bret Hart feel about it today? Will Shawn Michaels be present on Raw along with Hart?

We all know how the angle went down.  I think it's obvious WWE has tapped into a storyline where the audience cares about the storyline and Hart as a performer as well.  In regard to how Hart feels about the incident, most close to him feel he's doing the angle for his own personal closure as much as any financial reward.

Mickie James is currently involved in a storyline over the subject of her weight. Both McCool and Layla have been making fun of her supposed weight gain. This reminded me of what Molly Holly (Nora Greenwald) once went through some years ago. Jokes and putdowns involving the size of her (forgive me) butt. If I was a member of the creative team, instead of that particular storyline, I would have suggested that Mickie James be the new girl on Smackdown. That both McCool and Layla didn't like a girl from Raw coming over invading their space. That sounds better than calling Mickie James "a Pig". Thoughts?

That would have been a fine angle in my mind, but this storyline has done wonders to build both Layla and McCool as heels, plus made James a great sympathetic babyface.

Whose idea was it for Ted DiBiase to star in the movie The Marine 2? Was it his? Mr. McMahon's? Did young DiBiase go through an audition for the movie? If the movie becomes successful will this lead to more films starring Ted DiBiase? Has he showed any interest to acting?

DiBiase and a number of other WWE talents went through an auditioning process and DiBiase was tapped as the star.  The feeling coming out of the film was that DiBiase did great as a novice actor and this would be the start of future project for him.  I am sure DiBiase would want to do additional projects if they were offered.
