I disagree. It's easy for fans who live and breathe for online scoops to remember there is an entire audience that doesn't follow anything online about wrestling, with the possible exception of the WWE website. There are children, there are fans who don't want to be spoiled and there are fans who aren't online at all. Trust me, there is an audience out there that didn't know Hardy was going to lose that night.
I was watching Smackdown 10th anniversary, and it made me think that WWE is trying to distance itself as far away from Chris Benoit as it can. I noticed this especially when they showed TLC III as a highlight, and there was maybe one second shot of Benoit and no mention of his name. Was this done on purpose? And what are the possibilities of a best of Benoit DVD? And when?
There will never be a best of Benoit DVD beyond the one that the company released in 2004. Vince McMahon has said he can understand Benoit being used when needed for historical purposes but not in a way that would be exploiting his name, similar to how the NFL treats OJ Simpson.
Did Hornswoggle ever defend the Cruiserweight title in his short reign? And what other titles has he held in wrestling, outside of WWE? How was he discovered by the WWE and why was he brought in?
Hornswoggle feuded with and defeated Jamie Noble while holding the WWE Cruiserweight championship. Outside of WWE, he's held the NWA Wisconsin X-Division title and the SSW Tag Team titles. He tried out for WWE and when they were looking for someone to play the Hornswoggle role, he got the gig.
I was talking to a fellow fan about WWE live shows and he mentioned he went to the Global Warming event in Sydney, Australia in 2002 and saying he was quite angry that Triple H pulled out just before the event. Do you know the reason behind this? Was it just the Game's ego, or was there a real reason (Steph giving birth, family tragedy, etc)?
I have no idea, since HHH worked the main event of that show against Brock Lesnar and the Rock.
Was there ever a plan for Owen Hart to have a run with the World title? either just before his death or during his feud with Bret? And why wasn't he allowed to join the other members of the Hart Foundation and leave for WCW? Or was it his own decision to stay with the WWE?'
I've never heard of Owen being planned to have a WWF title run at any point. He was asked and convinced to stay with WWF with the idea that he would be able to become a bigger babyface and quite frankly, the company wasn't going to let him go anyway, so his hands were tied.
