TOMMY DREAMER FAREWELL NEWS AND NOTES, INTERESTING FACT REGARDING DREAMER'S DEPARTURE AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2009-12-30 11:50:23
The word on the Tommy Dreamer farewell last night was that it was a Vince McMahon call to thank Dreamer for his service to the company.  When Dreamer returned backstage, a lot of the roster were waiting to greet him.  For those of you who missed his emotional farewell speech on last night's ECW on SyFy, you can watch most of it at this link. The ECW episode will replay later this week on Universal HD as well. It was probably one of the classiest moments of the year.

WWE has not removed Dreamer from the ECW roster and website as of this writing.

With Tommy Dreamer's departure, there are no "ECW Original" wrestlers left on the WWE roster and also no wrestlers from the debut episode of ECW on SyFy still a part of the "ECW brand."  He truly was the last man standing.  Joey Styles and Lou "Sign Guy Dudley" D'Angeli would be the final ECW roster members still employed by WWE as both hold backstage positions for the company in the online and live events departments, respectively.
