Erick Stevens Explains His Actions
Last month inside the steel cage, the FIP Tag Titles changed hands after Erick Stevens turned on his partner, Roderick Strong, to allow the British Lions to win the titles. Stevens mentioned how all of the bad memories of the feud that he had with Strong over the years came back after Strong hit him during the match. He talked about how he was disrespected by Strong and by FIP so he will be the one to care about Erick Stevens. Stevens also mentioned that he was the 2008 Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup winner but he wasn’t even in the tournament. Despite Stevens comments, he was unable to defeat Bruce Santee in his quest to win the Pro Wrestling Riot Heavyweight Title.
Fray is not a four letter word
The losers in the first round of the Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup were part of a tradition that has developed with Dragon Gate USA, the Fray. This match is a gauntlet that starts off with two men with the other participants entering at specific time intervals. The only way to be eliminated is by pinfall or submission. This match featured a lot of high flying action along with some crazy bumps that can be expected from the participants in the match. When the dust settled, CZW Champion Drake Younger won the Fray after pinning Scotty Vortekz with a running Kudo Driver.
