The Hogan-Flair press conference angle, which saw Flair bloodying Hogan, continues to get a lot of mainstream attention overseas, with much of the media playing it up as a legitimate incident.
The Hulkamania tour will feature the first in-ring matches for Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan in a number of years. Flair officially retired at Wrestlemania XXIV in 2008 with a loss to Shawn Michaels in Orlando, Florida. Hogan's last match was April 2007, defeated Paul "Big Show" Wight at a Memphis Wrestling event promoted by Cory Maclin. Although both have gotten involved physically at times - Flair in WWE, Hogan in the Celebrity Championship Wrestling reality series - neither have had actual in ring bouts in years.
Also appearing on the tour are The Nasty Boys, Brutus Beefcake, Ken Anderson, Eddie Fatu (Umaga), Sean Morley (Val Venis), Jimmy Hart, Black Pearl, Vampire Warrior (Gangrel), Solofa Fatu (Rikishi), Orlando Jordan, Nick Dinsmore (Eugene), The Pimp Fatha (Charles "Godfather" Wright), Heindenreich, Spartan 300 (Matt 'M-Dog 20' Cross), Lacey Von Erich, Stephanie Pietz and Koa Marie Turner.
The tour runs:
Saturday 11/21 in Melbourne at the Rod Laver Arena
Tuesday 11/24 at the Burwood Dome in Perth
Thursday 11/26 at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre in Brisbane
Saturday 11/28 at the Acer Centre in Sydney
