SAMOA JOE ISN'T CONCERNED WITH TNA CHANGES, MICK FOLEY'S WRESTLING LEGACY HITS MILESTONE AND MORE TNA NEWS

By Mike Johnson on 2009-11-12 14:50:27
Alex Marvez interviewed Samoa Joe in his latest syndicated column, which you can read by clicking here.  A big topic of discussion is the transitional period that has begun with the announcement that Hulk Hogan is coming in.  Joe commented, "Anybody who knows me knows I'm not worried at all.  You can look at this as a challenge as far as my spot in the company. Call it arrogance or whatever, but I'm confident enough in my ability. I'm the only person who could stop me from being successful in this business. No matter who comes in, I'm going to do what I do to entertain and push forward."

Mick Foley will be appearing in an episode of the new Super Dave SpikeTV series next month.  Super Dave Osborne will be appearing on Impact tonight to plug the series.

Speaking of Foley, we hit a really huge milestone in the legacy of professional wrestling career last month as it was the 10th anniversary of the release of "Have A Nice Day", the first of Foley's autobiographies, the book that destroyed the myth that professional wrestling fans "can't read" by hitting the top spot in the New York Times Bestsellers List and selling a zillion or so copies.  For all the bumps and blood that Foley became famous for, perhaps his most important contribution to the business was breaking down the doors for the ensuing marathon of wrestling books - great and terrible, alike - that never would have seen publication had Foley not protested the planned ghostwriter of his first book and began handwriting his memoirs himself.

The official DVD release of Bound for Glory 2009 will be 12/8.  Sting, who challenged AJ Styles for the TNA title in the main event, is featured on the cover.
