Dave Prazak announced that SHIMMER star Portia Perez, one of my favorite female independent stars, will miss this weekend's DVD tapings after being diagnosed with swine flu. Our best goes out to my favorite Canadian Ninja for a quick recovery.

Bill Behrens sent the following....On 11-5-09, at the NWA Main Event Television taping former WWE & TNA referee, Mike Posey, achieved an unique wrestling milestone by serving as both ring announcer and referee for his match with Corey Hollis. Posey was able to dominate Hollis, who had been attacked backstage just prior to the match, until current NWA Mid-America Television Champion, Matt Boyce ran him from the ring. The crowd then began a ten count. Posey was counted out of the ring, and Hollis was announced as the winner of the match. Posey faces Matt Boyce for the Television Title at the next Main Event TV taping on 12-3-09. The match will be featured soon at www.nwame.com where you can view NWA Main Event Television.
