SHANE COMPETING AGAINST VINCE MCMAHON, HULK HOGAN IN TNA, WWE WASTING YOUNG TALENT, NO LOVE FOR BISCHOFF AND MORE

By Dave Scherer on 2009-11-04 10:00:00

If Shane McMahon does start his own professional wrestling promotion, do you think having him hire Jim Cornette as a creative writer or producer would work?

First off, I don't see Shane starting a wrestling company.  In addition to driving a huge (some would say bigger) wedge in relations with his father Vince McMahon, it would cost a ridiculous amount of money and would probably never be successful given how hard it is to start up.  Also, he is still an owner of WWE so it would make no sense to compete against himself.  He makes a lot of money from stock dividends.  If he were to do it, I have no idea if he would be interested in Cornette or not.

Maybe it's because of my utter disdain for Hogan, but I just cannot see him being in TNA being a good thing. I think his presence will have a really bad effect in the locker room, which will wind up poisoning the TV show. And I think it will give the show a whole other attitude, one that I think will change TNA, but not for the good. Throw in Bischoff, and what a recipe for a mess you have!

You didn't really ask a question but you voice concerns that many have.  I know I have fears myself.  Hearing Hogan talking about how he is going to mentor the young talent and teach them the art form is downright scary to me.  If he is used correctly, he can be an asset to the company.  But if they tear down everything that they have built and make someone that is nearly a senior citizen (even one who is as iconic as Hogan) the centerpiece of the company, that could be detrimental to them.  I hope they use him properly.

Can you please, please explain to me why Sheamus is now on RAW? He hasn't even developed on ECW and was on a great way. Now on RAW, he will be lost in the shuffle, just like Jack Swagger. Not to mention, that his "...I want to make an impression-speech" came across like a jobber. He already lost his good status from ECW. What is Vince thinking?

That is the million dollar question, what is Vince McMahon thinking.  On the one hand, he knows that the company needs to develop young talent and get them to the top of the cards.  On the other, he brings guys like Evan Bourne, Jack Swagger, Mark Henry, etc. over from ECW and then misuses them.  So, to answer your question, I have no idea what Vince is thinking and haven't for a while now.

Why does everyone hate Eric Bischoff?

He has really bad body odor?  Seriously, everyone doesn't hate him.  Hulk Hogan loves him.  So does Jason Hervey.  Now, some fans don't like him, for various reasons.  Some don't like that he is arrogant.  Some don't like him because of the big money contracts that he gave out while he ran WCW which helped gut the company.  Some don't like him because he took talent from ECW and undermined the company.  I don't think Bischoff concerns himself with any of them however.  He has laughed all the way to the bank.

It seems to me that Paul Roma really has a chip on his shoulder. But there is no reason why he should be going after Ted Dibiase! In my opinion, Roma was very fortunate to be a 3x WCW World Tag Team Champion. Doesn't he realize how many other wrestlers that never made as far as he did would love to trade places with him? He is starting to make a real ass out of himself as far as I'm concerned!! Your thoughts?

Buck and I talked about this on the No Name Show last week.  Roma could make a case for firing shots at Ric Flair and Arn Anderson since they did the same to him.  But, going after DiBiase is just weak on his part.  He comes across as a whiner.  I think he knows he was fortunate to have the career that he did.  But he does seem to be getting bitter as he gets older.  It's time for him to put a zipper on his mouth and use it.
