How come Tazz became a WWE broadcaster and never wrestled, did he have an injury?
He did wrestle in WWE but then suffered a neck injury that ended his in-ring career. At that point, he was given a chance to be a commentator and he took the ball and ran with it.
How come Vince McMahon does not treat Jim Ross with the respect he deserves? I know he put him in the Hall of Fame but some of Vince's action with JR have been disrespectful to say the least.
You know, Vince's relationship with JR is definitely an odd one. On the one hand, he put him in the Hall of Fame, gave him a lot of WWE stock and values his opinion on issues greatly. On the other hand, he fired him a few times and did a number of degrading skits that involved him, often in Oklahoma. I think what it comes down to is that Vince just has a different way of treating friends than anyone I have ever met in my life. Honestly, he's not the kind of guy I would ever hang out with because I am not a big fan of bullying, which is what I see stuff like the Dr. Heinie skit and crapping on JR in his home town as being. I guess Vince sees it as being funny. Har Har Vince.
I've been a fan of Mike Quackenbush since I first saw him at an ROH event. Because of that I began following Chikara. I attended my first Chikara show last night in Easton, PA. Quack defended the NWA Jr. Heavyweight title against Sal Rinauro. In the five minute match, the only wrestling hold Quackenbush use, including the finish for the pin, was a headlock. He made an entire match of headlocks entertaining. Do WWE or TNA have any interest in him? Do you see him moving beyond his Chikara and other indies?
I agree with you, he's a fun guy to watch but honestly given how WWE used Colt Cabana, I have my doubts as to how they would use Quack. At this point, he has been out there for a while so if they do have interest in him, they haven't offered the money needed to sign him to a deal. In the meantime, you can see him working for Dragon Gate at the the Open The Freedom Gate Title tournament set for 11/28 in Philadelphia. You can get more information at the company's website: www.dgusa.tv.
Sorry, but I also have a question about William Regal. This past ECW, I noticed that in the entrance way when Regal came out for the Abraham Washington show, the entrance wall said King of the Ring. I realize that Regal was the last KOTR, but there has been no mention of him being the KOTR and no indication that they are bringing back the tournament that has been seen since, what June of last year. Are they bringing it back?
At this point in time, WWE has shown no indications of doing so. I had always wondered how they could do the tournament and "have a Raw guy beat a Smackdown guy" but given that they have just done a Raw vs. Smackdown match at Bragging Rights though, there is no reason they couldn't do so if they chose to. I like the idea of doing a one night tournament. With them searching so hard to come up with themes for the PPV to generate interest, it would see like a good idea to go with a proven concept.
Do you think it would have been a good idea to have The Undertaker return to RAW instead of SmackDown? He hasn't been on RAW for years.
I think that when he came back, Raw was a little crowded at the top of the card. With HHH, Shawn Michaels, Randy Orton and John Cena there, they needed Taker on Smackdown, especially after Jeff Hardy took a break and Edge was injured to give that show some star power. It's no secret that I think Taker came back before he was really ready, and he did that to help the company with the Smackdown brand. With that said, I think a Taker run on Raw would be fresh and spice the show up. A lot of people only watch Raw, so getting to see Taker would add something to the show for them.
