IS KEVIN NASH A TOOL, HOW PATHETIC IS RIC FLAIR, SHANE MCMAHON IN MMA, WHERE'S THE LOVE FOR TODD GRISHAM AND MORE

By Dave Scherer on 2009-10-26 10:00:00

Is Kevin Nash a tool or what?  Let me say that I think it's great that he was concerned about Chris Sabin being injured and all but it was totally unprofessional for him to go out and **** on his company in front of its audience, saying that they should have stopped the match.  If you were Dixie Carter, how would you handle the situation?

Is he a tool?  I wouldn't say that.  I think the guy is brilliant and has a lot of charisma.  There are a lot of people in the business that I have met who are legitimate tools.  Nash isn't one of them.  In fact, I have a lot of respect for the way he has maximized what he had to work with and what he has gotten from the business.  It is truly impressive.  With that said, I think him running down TNA in front of their fans, saying that they should have stopped Chris Sabin's match when he got hurt, was ridiculously unprofessional.  My kneejerk reaction would have been to fire him if I were Dixie Carter.  Maybe after that I would have calmed down and sent him home for a few months but I think I would have fired him, especially coming on the heels of Booker T refusing to do the job to Matt Morgan.  You just can't have wrestlers going into business for themselves.  It creates anarchy.

As a follow up question, after the Nash incident, I saw other online reports that said that Nash was a hero to the wrestlers for what he did in standing up for Sabin and ******* on TNA in front of the crowd.  Then, we found out the truth, that none of that happened.  Do you think that Nash was the one who put the first story out to the public?

Since no one we spoke too corroborated that report, one of two things happened.  Either Nash was the source and was trying to make himself look good to the net or some website just made it up (yes I know, it would be a shocker to find out that a wrestling site made up a story).

Has anyone noticed that on Smackdown, they kept wishing JR well and mentioning he was "under the weather", but no one said one word about Todd Grisham! Talk about making someone feel valued!

I have no problem with that at all.  JR was battling a Bells Palsy attack.  Todd Grisham was on his honeymoon and just missed a show.  I get the point you are trying to make but I think since Ross was dealing with a medical condition, there was no harm in mot mentioning Grisham's absence.

How pathetic and sad is Ric Flair become and isn't it illegal for him to use the same item as collateral with two different lenders?

Flair has become very pathetic and very sad.  People in the business knew for years that it would come to this as he got older.  The man spent every penny that he earned over the years, plus has three ex-wives to support, so when it came to the point where he wasn't making big coin any longer, it was pretty clear that he would be in trouble.  We have reached that point and it's sad, especially when you consider how much of a legend Flair is and how valued his body of work in the ring is to so many people.  Hocking his title belt to two people is just reprehensible and it sure sounds like fraud to me.  Him basically pawning the watch that Shawn Michaels gave him to honor their match is just vile and sleazy.  It's a shame it has come to this for a man who meant so much to the business.  The worst part is that this story will most probably just get worse from here.

After reading of Shane-O-Mac's resignation because “life takes an unexpected turn”, what do you guys think about Shane perhaps investing into the MMA scene? He's a huge fan, and one could only speculate, but do you guys see this as a possibility or could this be really a goodbye from Shane?

Shane's reasoning for leaving WWE has been a very well kept secret.  Without knowing why he is leaving, it's impossible to say if he will ever come back to the company.  Obviously, as stockholder with a large number of shares, he definitely could come back in some form if he wants to.  Could I see him getting involved in MMA, sure, but in what degree or manner, I don't know.  It's very expensive to do a start up group and I don't see him being able to afford to buy the UFC, so we will just have to watch and wait to see what his next move is.
