I have a question regarding amateur wrestling. Has there ever been an attempt to run a 'professional' amateur wrestling organization? Amateur rules, but have the wrestlers get paid as professionals?
Actually, there was a group called Real Pro Wrestling, which briefly had a syndicated television show. Unfortunately, it didn't last, as it started the same time that UFC began booming, taking away what little audience they would have had.
Where did the new introductions style for WWE Title matches come from?
It is the old school boxing "big fight" style introduction, which I think is a great idea. It makes the title matches seem "more important" than the other bouts, which they should be. It should also be noted that TNA has been doing this style of introductions for their title matches for years now, and most Japanese promotions have always announced in this manner.
I know he used to be a WWE referee, but what exactly happened with Tim White and the Hell in a Cell match?
While taking a bump into the Hell In A Cell cage at Judgment Day 2002, White suffered a shoulder injury. He had surgery, and eventually returned to refereeing in 2004, but re-injured the shoulder and retired from being an active referee.
I seem to remember that Christian won the then Light Heavyweight Title from Taka Michinoku in his debut match. Was that his first appearance or had he been seen on television before then?
It was actually only Christian's second WWF match ever, and his first televised match. Christian wrestled in a try-out match against Edge at Copps Coliseum in Hamilton, Ontario. He then went to a training camp, wrestling on those shows (which weren't WWF events), and then in September began appearing as part of the Brood, with his first match being the Judgment Day PPV on October 18, 1998 where be beat TAKA Michinoku for the belt.
Who had the best mullet in wrestling? And how does it compare to Buck's mullet?
I would have to say Mike Awesome's slightly edges out Eddie Guerrero's as being the best. Kevin Nash also had a nice one during his Diesel days. My mullet, thankfully, didn't last long, and was nowhere near the level of those greats.
