HARDCORE HOLLY, LEGACY, WRESTLEMANIA IN DALLAS AND MORE

By Buck Woodward on 2009-09-24 10:00:00

With some of the illogical creative lately with Legacy, my question is what is/was WWE's purpose in creating this group.   I thought maybe to elevate young talent in Horsemen like group, but DiBiase and Rhodes have been more  Spirit Squad than Tully & Arn.  They have admitted that they barely care about the tag belts and have been whipped numerous times trying to help Orton.  Plus Orton never helps them in their lower tier matches (a Horsemen staple).  Plus Orton has been portrayed so weak that their association in relationship makes them look even worse.

I agree, as much as WWE seems to think Rhodes & DiBiase have "gotten a rub" by being associated with Orton, the truth is it has made them look subservient and meaningless.  I find it very interesting that with this DX feud, Legacy has been spending less time with Orton, and looked a lot better.  Maybe there is a message there.

What is former WWE star Hardcore Holly doing these days? Is he still wrestling?

Yep, since being released by WWE this past January, Holly has been working independent dates and international shows.

Whatever happened to wrestler El Gigante?

El Gigante, Jorge Gonzalez, retired in the mid 90's and returned to his native Argentina.  I believe he owns a farm now.  Gonzalez suffered from diabetes, which made life on the road difficult for him.

It has been speculated that Wrestlemania will someday be held in the beautiful new Dallas Cowboys stadium. If it does take place there will the controversial big screen be used during the event? I understand its absolutely stunning.

I think it is definitely a strong possibility that Wrestlemania will be held there eventually, and of course, if it is, the massive video screens will be used.  Personally, I think Jerry Jones should start pushing for Wrestlemania now.  It's not like he'll be hosting any playoff games there this year (yeah, I said it, what do you expect from a Giants fan?).

On a recent Raw WWE Diva Alicia Fox defeated Gail Kim to become the number one contender for the WWE Divas championship currently held by Mickie James. It seemed like only yesterday that Alicia Fox was in FCW. Now she is the main challenger for the Divas title. That's fast. I think the WWE has treated Gail Kim unfairly since her return. She should be the one facing Mickie James not Alicia Fox. If not her perhaps Beth Phoenix. What do you think? Any chance of Gail Kim turning heel?

Given the disaster of a match Kim and James had on Raw, I don't think anyone should be surprised to see other Divas jump ahead when it comes to title matches.  I agree that Phoenix is more worthy than Fox, but with the limited number of Divas, it is only a matter of time before WWE goes back to her.
