When I heard that Linda McMahon was stepping down as CEO to enter politics, my first thought was that nothing much would change in WWE management. What do you think?
I agree with you. She has her management team in place and they know how she does things. Also, I can't believe for a second that she won't be monitoring what goes on in the company. It's her life's work. So I agree with you, I don't see anything changing on the management end of WWE. Linda is always just a phone call away.
How does Vince taking over as CEO affect his current role as creative director?
As I mentioned above, I don't see this as being anything more than a necessary move. I don't see Vince suddenly taking on a ton of new responsibility. I see him focusing on the creative end of the company in the same manner that he has until now. I wish he would take a sabbatical while Linda is trying to get elected but I don't see it happening.
I was wondering how do wrestlers such as Kofi Kingston and Jeff Hardy get so close to their pyro without getting their ears damaged?
I have never heard that either guy wears ear plugs so I am guessing that since it only usually happens once a week, at TV, they can take it without any real damage. When I was younger, I went to a ton of rock concerts that were really loud for hours on end and I didn't lose any of my hearing. My guess is that the ears can take loud noise in short bursts.
Batista to Smackdown? Aren't they afraid that it will make it look like he is running away from facing Orton on a continuing basis? But then again, look how weak they have made DX look. What's up with that trend?
Obviously they aren't afraid of that and after all, they did have him beat down Orton before he left. I think the two questions are more about logic. For one thing, why wouldn't Batista want to stay around and beat up the guy who "put him out"? And for another, why is Batista allowed to decide he wants to jump brands when no one else is allowed to do so? To me, those are even bigger issues than him looking afraid.
Why didn't Vince bring in Abdullah The Butcher?
There were a few reasons. For one thing, I think both guys realized that what they had to offer didn't really work with the other one. Abby was a brawler who bled profusely. The WWF didn't do a whole lot of that, and was focused on kids. Plus, Abby had a great deal in Japan and would never sign away his rights to work there and make a killing. So Abby was smart and worked in Japan and for WCW.
