On this past Raw (9/14) Cole and Lawler kept going on and on about how Trish never wrestled Beth Pheonix. I might need to get my memory checked, but didn't Trish do that under a year ago? She was Cena's surprise tag partner last Christmas, the last time Raw was in Toronto, and I think they wrestled Beth and Santino. Am I going crazy, or am I remembering things correctly?
Nope, you're not crazy. WWE was just playing their "selective memory" game again, wanting you to not remember something that happened eight months ago. Trish did appear on the December 22, 2008 episode of Raw, teaming with Cena to beat Marella and Phoenix.
Since TNA released BG James today do you think there is any possibility of WWE hiring him to have him join DX again? I think it would be a good idea for a few reasons a.) he's a veteran and b.) since it looks like DX is going to be used (for now) to help elevate some of the up and coming guys (Rhodes, & Dibiase) and c.) he has experience booking and being an agent. What do you think?
There is always a possibility, I suppose. Armstrong's brother Scott is currently working for the company, and just having BJ there for the classic DX entrance announcement would probably get a pop. That said, it has been a long time, and WWE isn't lacking for agents these days.
What's the deal with Dibiase's ear?
I believe DiBiase simply suffered from "Cauliflower ear" and had it drained recently. Update: Jim Ross wrote in one of his blogs that DiBiase actually had an infection in his ear, the result of tubes being left in it from a surgical procedure he had as a child. That is what needed to be drained.
The only person I ever hear about walking away from fans who want an autograph is John Cena. I seem to even remember a few years ago (on WrestleMania weekend no less) that he pretty much started a riot because he left an autograph session early. Is it true that he is pretty much the only one who walks away, or is it Cena "haters" trying to make him seem like a bad person?
I'd say it is more the Cena haters. There are plenty of wrestlers that will sign autographs, and plenty that will not. Some will sign depending on the situation. In the case of organized autograph signings, they are often scheduled with certain windows of time, and it is out of the hands of the wrestler. I'll give Cena flack for the way his character is presented, but I think ripping on him because of something like that is a a bit lame.
Why does the WWE see the need to make Cena invincible? Doesn't the WWE realize that things like what happened at Breaking Point (Super Cena) is why a lot of WWE fans absolutely hate Cena? Even in the height of Hulkamania, Hogan would lose an occasional match.
I agree, it seems to be something that is lost on WWE in their attempts to make Cena the new Hogan. Hogan would often lose matches via DQ or countout to set up return matches. In fact, the more Hogan got beat down by someone, the more fans would come for the return bout to see Hogan triumph. WWE apparently thinks they can win over more young fans by making Cena a superhero, but I think they're just turning more of their existing fan base against him.
