WWE ERADICATING JEFF HARDY FROM THEIR HISTORY, TED DIBIASE'S LAST MATCH AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2009-09-20 10:00:00

Not that I'm comparing the two crimes, but if the Jeff Hardy arrest is as bad as the media makes it out to be and if he is convicted, should WWE remove him from all of their media, like they did with Chris Benoit? Again, I'm not comparing the two crimes, but given how he is supposed to be a hero to all of the young fans, if I were Vince I would want as much distance from this situation as possible.

No, I think there is a HUGE difference between a drug arrest and a murder.  Given that WWE had Hardy on their website's front page the day he was arrested pushing that he was moved to their alumni section and chose not to remove it, that's probably a sign they will ignore the arrest since he wasn't under their employ.

I thought of this question before the recent Jeff Hardy arrest but I'm going to ask it anyway.  If WWE struck a deal with Jeff Hardy to make an appearance as an entrant in the upcoming Royal Rumble (whether its just a one time appearance or full time return), should WWE hype his return to try to increase the buyrate or leave it as a surprise?

Factoring out the arrest situation (since you asked about before the arrest), If I was WWE, I'd announce Hardy ahead of time as a special appearance to help pump the buyrate up.  Hardy is the type of performer who drives PPV buys, especially among female fans.

What was the "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase's last match?  Did the injury that forced him to retire occur in that match or outside of the ring?

Ted DiBiase's last match was on 11/13/93 wrestling for All Japan Pro Wrestling.  DiBiase was teaming with Stan Hansen to defeat Richard Slinger & Tracy Smothers in the promotion's Real World Tag League.  I believe The neck injury was something he had been working with and with a good threat of something terrible happening, DiBiase was unable to continue wrestling.  Since the two were the AJPW Unified Tag Team champions at the time, the belts were vacated.  Giant Baba teamed with Hansen for the remainder of the tournament.  Baba also paid DiBiase his full pay for the tour.  DiBiase went on to sign with WWF as an announcer and manager and to date, has yet to have any additional matches, although he has gotten into the ring to work out privately since.

I am a bit of a belt collector & I was wondering if you knew of a place were I could buy Replica versions of the major Japanese titles? Ive been looking high & low & I can not find a place that sells them.

I believe your best bet is to look up Dave Millican Belts and try there.  He builds belts from scratch for a number of companies, including TNA and UFC, so I don't know how expensive it may be.

I don't watch MMA or UFC but I was wondering if their respected fighters ever use actual wrestling hold such as hammerlocks, headlocks or body scissors?

Yes, Yes and no.
